Back to work!

Madeline's P.O.V.

This morning we woke up early and took the pets to the shop and left them in their area. We actually had gotten some orders last night for some of our animal cookies and a galaxy mirror cake (mirror cakes are Scarlett's favorite). Since Cat was going to help us out with the bakery, I asked her to show me some of her skills by making some animal cookies while Christina and Scarlett took care of the mirror cake. Cat told me that I should keep my work area clear so I'll have more space to cook. When I started to cook, I noticed that she was right about that. I moved some of the items out of my way and into the dishwasher. Scarlett had taken out a yellow cake from the oven while Christina looked through the pantry for the blueberry jam.

"Why is it so quiet..?"  Scarlett interrupts the awkward silence thankfully.

"Good question. Cat... Madeline?" She turns around and looks at us. I'm watching Cat very closely to see her decorating skills. She was pretty good at decorating the animal cookies. Then I tried doing the same but FAILED EPICLY!

"I guess that decorating isn't my skill." I chuckled.

"Maybe it isn't!" Cat said.

"That's why Christina and Scarlett said that I could be the main baker, not decorator!!" I said.

"Yeah I can see that! How about you make some more cookies and I decorate them? That way we can go faster." Cat suggested.

"Sure!" I said

"Then you should baking!" Cat chuckled

"I will- I swear." I said. "Um... before that I'm going to check on Christina and Scarlett."

"Ok. do that really quick because cookies aren't to cook them self." Cat said

"I'll be back about ten minutes." I insured Cat

I started walking towards Christina and Scarlett and I saw them eating frosting.

"What are you guys doing?"

"Waiting for the cake to finish baking." Scarlett said, frosting smeared all over her face.

"Guys we're on a budget! We have $500 for shopping for the bakery." I told them. "Just promise me you won't do that again".

"We won't", they both said.

"Good. I think Cat is angry at me so..." I said, running back to the kitchen.

"MADELINE COME HERE NOW!" Cat yelled. I ran over quickly not wanting Cat to get even angrier. Those years of playing basketball payed off! Man, I gotta go fast! (lol) When I got back into the kitchen cat looked at me angrily.

"Where've you been Madeline?" she asked sarcastically.

"Um... I was checking on Christina and Scarlett?" I said, confused.

"Oh really, explain why you have frosting in your hair." She pointed out.

"THEY WERE EATING FROSTING AND IT HIT MY FACE!" I yelled.

"Geez' I was just wondering. You don't need to be salty" she said.

"Sorry but I had to tell them that I we have a budget of $500." I said.

"I get it, some days aren't the best days for business. Sometimes I let the shop close earlier than it's supposed to. Just chill and take a break." She said

"I'll try to but wi-" I got interrupted by Cat.

"See that's way too much thinking just finish it at home silly."

So I took a deep breath and told Christina and Scarlett that we're leaving work early. Then we got into the car and started driving home exhausted.
