Rats?!?

Christina's P.O.V.

Yesterday Madeline made us work a lot! Even I got exhausted! And I NEVER get exhausted. Anyways, this morning I woke up to Madeline already baking more things for the bakery. Geez does she really want to beat Delilah's Delicious Delights that badly? Whatever. I for once was taking a break. Hmph.

While Madeline was baking we got a call from an unknown number.

"Hello, this is James Bourgeois from Magnolia Inspection Department for the Food Business . We just checked the bakery a few stores doors down, Delilah's Delicious Delights, and found out they had a rat infestation. We notify that we will be checking your bakery as well."

I lit up. Delilah's had a rat infestation?! More customers for us!

"Oh, we actually got checked not to long ago, but for safety I suppose you could."

"Yes Ma'am! We'll come by Top Star Bakery tomorrow"

"Thank you!" I wait for him to hang up and run into the kitchen yelling.

"DELILAH'S DELIGHTS IS GETTING SHUT DOWN!! They had a rat infestation!"

Madeline stopped baking and gasped. "Yes!! Finally...! Does this mean I can take a break?"

Scarlett and I looked confused.

"Nobody said you had to do this Madeline. You chose to bake non-stop."

"No! Delilah... Made me... She called me and said that if our sales didn't improve, they'd surely beat our bakery! I had to beat their sales, like have you seen how fast their sales rose? Like.. holy crap!"

"Hmm. Seems reasonable." Scarlett responded.

"Though I do wonder where those rats came from!"

"Probably from Delilah's GROSS attitude and bakery." Scarlett said sarcastically.

"Who knows maybe the bad baking lured them in there." Madeline chuckled

"Guys, lets not get ahead of ourselves. You never know what someone can or will do just to be in charge. Well whatever.. We probably should just be happy about it and move on. So... Cat... aren't you leaving.. Soon..?"

"Hm..? Oh.. Yeah... Well! Want to go do something tomorrow before I go? Like party or something?"

"Sure!" We all yell.

So... after we went to work and made a few more things, and the customers came to pick up their orders we went home.

We all sat on the couch and binge watched some anime till we fell asleep.
