I sat on my couch as if I had no worries at all, staring blankly at the television that had not been turned on. Honestly, I wasn't worried. I knew they were coming for me and there was nothing I could do about it, but sit and wait.

Light foot steps, the sound of heavy body armor and equipment, and the faded sound of guns being loaded was heard outside of my front door. Before I knew it the door was kicked open and there they were, guns pointed and ready to be fired. I could hear the helicopters surrounding my house.

"Jacob Perez, you are under arrest for the murder of Chresanto August. You have the right to remain silent. If you choose to speak, anything you say can be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to consult a lawyer and have the lawyer present for questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer one will be appointed for you if you desire."

I was handcuffed and led out of the house and into one of several police cars surrounding the house. It was over for me.
