Chapter Seven: "I'm sorry."

She woke up from the long sleep she was in, rolling over the headache suddenly hitting her. She didn't remember much from the night before, other than the party, and well nothing other than that.

Something caught her eye on the end table that was beside her bed, a note, a glass of water and two pills.

Regina,

Here's some pills and water, please take them it will make you feel much better<3

It was written in messy writing that was slightly slanted, and most of all that surprised her, it was sighed off from Patrick.

Regina knew in her heart that she needed him, she knew in her heart that he was who she needed to be with. She was stubborn as hell, and it would take a lot from her to say sorry to him.

She reached over to the glass of water and pills, putting two of them in her mouth and downing them with the water.

Regina walked down the living room stairs, dressed in her attire from last night still, her makeup all over the place. She needed to apologize to Patrick, and she didn't quite care what she looked like to do so.

The group of boys were sat at the table, all eating bowls of cereal and glasses of orange juice.

They were all surprised when they seen her walking down the stairs, of course it was what they all wanted, and were all hoping for.

"Patrick, can I speak with you?"

He didn't reply, just walked over to her. His shoulders were slumped over as usual, following her to the back room.

Patrick looked the small girl over, remembering the words she shared with her last night. He almost failed to remember that she thought he was Beverly.

She didn't speak to him, just pulled him into the hug that he had been so patiently waiting for.

Regina was hurt, her whole life she had been hurt. She was never apologized too, nor had she made an apology.

"I know baby, I know." Patrick whispered to her, as he felt her tears seep onto his old, dirty, black t-shirt.

"I'm sorry." She cried out, not being able to contain her feelings anymore.

"You have nothing to be sorry for. I know how you feel, and it's okay to feel like that." Patrick spoke once again, pulling away from her pushing a piece of hair behind her ear.

"I'm just so sorry Patrick, you did nothing for me to be acting like this." She whispered, looking down at her feet.

"It's okay baby." He said again, pulling her yet into another hug.

The days to follow were back to normal. Regina drove to school with the group, and her and Bev still weren't getting along.

Beverly had been spending most of her time with the group of younger boys, the Losers Club.

It was almost like they had forgotten about each other, only entering each others minds when they were alone at night.

Regina didn't feel like Beverly had a reason to be mad at her, but Beverly felt like she had every one.

They would go back to each other in a heart beat, only each one of them were too stubborn to apologize.

Regina walked down the hallway of the high school, every couple of people would wave at her.

She gave them a small wave back, not knowing who half of them were, not that she really cared.

She missed how things used to be, to some extent. She missed when nobody really knew who she was, when she had Bev by her side, and when her older brother didn't really pay attention to her. She only wanted Bev and Patrick in her life.

Her eyes focused on the group of people huddled against the lockers, getting a closer look she could see that it was Beverly and her new group of friends.

They all looked over at her, eyes going wide at her and suddenly all looked away.

Regina didn't like that people were scared of her, she wasn't the type of person to hate someone for no reason.

"You know I'm not going to like kill you or anything, or is that the new thing Beverly has been telling people?" She sneered, towards the group of people.

She didn't like that Beverly seemed to have had made people scared of her. She wasn't thinking of the fact that it was probably the group of people she was hanging out around.

"So that's what you think of me now, huh? Wow. Okay. Cool." Beverly yelled back at her, giving a dry laugh at the end.

"Well what am I supposed to think? You stop talking to me, because I start talking to my brother and his friends again. Then all of a sudden, you and all your friends act as if I killed your dog. When in reality, I've done nothing to you, or any of your friends." Regina yelled back at the girl, using way to many hand motions, and clapping her hands excessively.

"Did you ever come to think of the fact of maybe its who you choose to hang out with? Your brother and his friends, bullied me for months, years even. I'm sorry but I think me and my friends have every right to be scared of you. Who knows who you're going to turn into next." Beverly shot back, crossing her arms at the girl that used to be her best friend.

"You know what, maybe you should get real scared of me then. If you think I'm that bad of a person, Marsh, watch who I'm going to become. It's good to learn who my real friends are. I pray for you Beverly, because you really need a reality check." Regina smiled at her, walking straight out of the school.

Regina stayed sat on the roof of her brothers Trans am for the rest of the day, waiting for him to come out and bring her away from this hell.

If Beverly thought that she was going to get away with blaming her brother for everything that happened, she had something else coming.
