Prologue
My family and I lived in peace. We had a wonderful life living in small coves off the coast of Hollandia Nova, or what most people would now call Australia. It was always beautiful, with crashing waves that were perfect for hours of endless play. That is until all the big ships came upon our land. Immediately disliked because we were different, we were brutally forced to flee, and most did not survive. We could no longer live on the land, for fear of more rejection and hate and torture, so we had to adapt to the sea. I was only a four year old little girl. My name is Zaelia, and my family is furious with the humans that so flippantly disregarded us like we were nothing. We cannot stand to wait much longer, and we will have our revenge.
