Renovation Time

Chapter 11

~Tony's pov~

They were in the car, driving back home from the police station. The murderer was back behind bars and Ziva didn't need stitches, the cut wasn't deep and it wouldn't be a scar.

'You know, it's only 8 pm. If you want, we could still watch that movie, if you're not too tired.' She looked up at him, smiling, making his heart melt. 'Sure, but I am choosing!' They got into the appartment, They both changed to pajamas and after that Ziva let herself fall on the couch with her, already chosen, dvd. 'I'll make the popcorn,' he shouted from the kitchen. He didn't want to make her more tired than she already was after today. He made the popcorn and walked into the living room. Ziva was at the right side of the couch, her back against the armrest, legs on the couch, knees drawn. She wore pajamashorts, so her olive skin was showing. She wore her hair loose, she wasn't wearing any make-up.

She looked amazing. He sat down right next to her feet.

They watched Pirates Of The Caribbean. Of course, he should have seen that coming...

After fifteen minutes, Ziva stretched her legs, over his lap. He sat closer to her, so that she sat stable. And so that he was as close to her as possible. He didn't really know where to put his hands, so he just went for it and put them on her legs, right on her thigh. He looked at her face to see her reaction, but she just continued to watch the movie. So did he.

As the movie continued, Ziva changed position, so that she was leaning against him. Her legs were drawn again, but they leaned against the arm rest now. He liked having her close to him. He felt like he could protect her from everything if he was close enough, even if she didn't need protection. He put his arm around her shoulder, and she let her head rest on his shoulder.

After about three quarter of the movie, he felt that Ziva had fallen asleep. His eyes started to flutter, he fought to stay awake.

Then he gave up. He fell asleep, peacefully for once.
