My name is Jack Gray, I am sitting outside in my backyard by a blazing orange fire. School was just let out. Movement caught my eye and I turned to see what it was. A big dog was prowling towards me, it's fur the color of a starless night. It was staring at me with dark eyes, it took me a second to realize it wasn't a dog but a wolf. Adrenaline rushed through me as the beast kept walking closer. then running until it jumped. I was rooted to the ground, I couldn't move. When it hit me, it hit me hard and knocked all the air out of my lungs. I fell on the ground gasping for breath, trying to feed my starving lungs. When I looked up again the beast was fighting my neighbor's Doberman. The wolf saved me I thought to myself over and over again as the fight raged on and they were scratching and biting at each other. The wolf was victorious as the Doberman ran away. He looked proud and cunning the way the moon and fire glistened off his black coat. He turned to me and howled a deafening, thundering sound. He walked over to me menacingly, I started crawling back when I hit a tree and could back up no more, I was trapped. He looked at me and sniffed the air surrounding me. Then growled, my heart is pounding against my rib cage. I looked over my shoulder and saw the Doberman standing there. The wolf walking over with such a determined gleam in his dark eyes it made me shudder. He took off after the dog with such a sudden start, the dog yelped as it was tackled to the ground. It was pinned and I could see it was terrified, which only made me wonder what would've happened it the wolf didn't show up? At that moment the dog bit the wolf, it flinched but not much. The wolf got off the dog and bit its hind leg hard, the dog yelped in pain and took off limping. The wolf, which I for some unknown reason felt compelled to call Thunder, came over to me and laid next to me. Thunder's presence made me feel relaxed and safe, I fell asleep against the tree with the beast laying next to me, watching over me, protecting me. With that lasting thought the darkness consumes me as I fall asleep under the light of a thousand stars.
I know its short but schools been loading me down with finals, I'll try and update daily. BYE!
