During the middle of the night I was shivering uncontrollably, Thunder came and laid down with me and laid his head on my chest as to keep me warm. My dreams were flooded with nightmares. When I woke in the morning, I was very reluctant to get out of bed because there was no sun, therefore it didn't wake me up. I thought that was the reason anyway. Arizona woke me violently "wake up Jack, come on Jack, WAKE UP!" I sat up with a jolt at the yelling, and very quickly regretted it. My shoulder was on fire, I yelped as the pain registered to my brain. Arizona ripped off the dirty bandages and the sight I beheld made me dry heave, I looked down and saw my shoulder swollen and infected. The smell was rotten and revolting, even Thunder whined when he got a whiff of my shoulder. Arizona grabbed a bottle of alcohol and poured it on my shoulder, I hissed and tried to squirm away but she held firm. She then wiped all the pus off and put medicine on it then wrapped more gauze around it. After it was cleaned Arizona said "you're lucky, it isn't too badly infected." I didn't even dignify that with a response. Later in the day I was sweating at how badly my shoulder hurt. Arizona turned and asked "you feeling alright Jack?" I felt myself falling into a swoon, I was swaying on my feet. "Jack!" Arizona yelled as I fell forward and she lunged to grab me. She was surprisingly strong for her size, I couldn't think on that long as I was pulled into unconsciousness. When I came to, I was startled. Arizona was looking down at me, with Thunder by her side. I tried to sit up, but fell back down. When I looked long down my shoulder was covered in blood, my blood. What happened? I thought to myself. Arizona got me some water and put it to my mouth "here, drink slowly" she told me sternly. I didn't listen, I greedily gulped down the cool liquid until it all was gone. All the while she was glaring daggers at me for disobeying. Then she said in a little voice "you could have choked" she whispered sounding hurt. "Why didn't you listen?" she asked. "I was thirsty" I said in my defense. A pained look crossed her face, but was quickly covered up by the look of indifference. "I'm hungry" I said after a while. "I'll go get some food" she replied. "You. get. some. sleep." she said in sharp clipped tones. "Okay" I replied sulking, and went to lay down.
