* Gavins POV *
Stella and I ate and got ready and went to our office. Stella was wearing jeans and a white jumper. Her hair up in a high ponytail and her glasses sitting on her nose. She doesn't look like me at all, she got her looks from our dad. Her eyes light green, her hair light blonde. Unlike me, she has no freckles at all, her skin very clear. The only thing that makes us look the same is that we're both tanned.
After we finished bickering over whose car we're taking we went and got ready, and guess who won our little argument.
Stella.
She's older than me by 2 years but that doesn't mean she can boss me around.
''Now Gavin.''
I looked at her and she looked back at me. I gave her a nod to show that I was listening and then quickly moved my eyes to the road to give her a sign to at the road.
''When we arrive at the office I have some emails to respond to after I'll help you gather all the documents you'll need. Alright?''
I just nod at her.
We sat in silence until Stella turned on the radio.. our song came on.
Hey Brother by Avicii.
Stella elbowed me and started singing...
''Heyyy brother, there's an endless road to rediscoverrr''
''Heyy sister, know that water's sweet but blood is thickerr''
''Oh when the sky comes falling down for youuu, there's nothing I wouldn't dooo''
''I'm not singing'' I chuckle.
''Butt Gavinn, you can sing so well'' She turns her head to look at me and pouts.
''You know you should be looking at the road'' I point out.
''Oh shut up!''
She gives me a playful whack on the shoulder and keeps driving, but she's also humming the song.
After another 10 minutes of torture with Stella, we arrive.
The office isn't the main FBI office but it's still pretty big. As a matter of fact, I actually have on an office in the main headquarters but I use this one since what's the point of going to Washington when I live in Ohio?
Once I sign in and stuff I walk and run to my office. I have so much to check. My office is quite big. At the back wall, it has floor to ceiling windows. In the middle is my desk with my iMac. In front of my desk are another two seats. One of the walls on my side is filled with books on crime and law. The other has notes all over it. I still haven't cleared it since the last case I did, which was about 3 weeks ago.
I have 4 emails titled 'important' and a few others about minor cases.
I opened the first one titled 'important'.
'Hello Gavin,
You may or may not have heard about the Los Angeles case you're going to. Stella may have told you a bit about it already. Police believe it's a serial killer as 5 of the murders happened under very similar circumstances. The other 2 happened in places nearby.
As you've solved over 150 murders and abductions we're assigning you to be the lead detective in this case. You'll be working with 4 others. Enya Harris, Casper Phillips, Louise Evans and Ace Davis. All great FBI detectives.
You don't have to worry about anything, we already have your plane ticket booked for the 28 of May. I'll send you the details in a later email soon. You'll also find out all the details about this case once you arrive. The information is too much to be said over email.
