4. Preparing for the case.

What. The. F**k?

Why and how did she have this?

I didn't even know what it was about but it was a police report. It must've been recent otherwise she would've come to me.

I looked at her in shock.

''Go on'' She nods towards the report.

I turn into my desk and open it.

It was a witness account.

An account of a murder.

Rosa was the witness.

As I kept reading I recognized the case, it was a smaller case so it wouldn't have been put into my hands.

I skimmed through other information but I didn't understand why she gave this to me. 

I look at her and just as though she knew exactly what I was going to say she started speaking.

''You only read the account, look at the location and minor details.''

I had so many questions.

''How'd you have this anyway?''

''I asked the police for a copy of it. I never told you about since you know..'' She pauses but I know what she's talking about. I saw the date on the report. ''We just weren't talking but anyway''

She was talking about our break up, we broke up around that time.

''Well I, I wasn't really the witness I wasn't there when it happened but I was the one who reported it so''

She kept talking but I just ignored her and kept reading, the location was an alleyway near Long Beach? The details, big and small, were normal for a crime scene. 

''I don't see what's so special about this?'' I question.

I really don't.

''I'm no detective but from what's been put out to the public in the case that you're going to, the location and details are similar.''

''Are you trying to say that this was some practice, to see if they weren't caught?'' I question, I had no clue why she gave this to me.

''Oh Gavin, how am I meant to know? All I'm trying to show you is that this case has the same circumstances as the one you're going to.''

''Right.. okay.'' Still didn't know gonna help.

Just to my luck, Stella comes in.

''Gavin, Maria wants to speak to you'' She says smiling.

''Em right okay''

''I'll go now'' Rosa pops in and gets up to leave.

''I'll walk you out'' Stella smiles.

Stella never liked Rosa. Oh well.

I walked into Stella's office and sat down in front of her iMac.

''Hey Gavin'' I hear Maria's voice.

''Hello, how are you?''

''I'm good thank you. So let's go straight into the murder case. Shall we?''

''Of course.''

Oh, my actual god! I'm so sorry! I've been really busy with school and exams that I just had to put writing aside but I'm on my summer holidays now so whoo! More time to write! So yes, Murder Games is back! 😉 

Well, I'm actually starting a collab book on this account with my best friend Vanessa @xvannie ! It'll be on this written and posted on this account if you're interested. It's a simple cliche love story but it has a lot of meaning to it (:
