"How long does it take to get there?" I asked, dragging my feet in the sweltering heat.
"It's not even long and it's so worth it; the boys there are so hot." Ella chuckled to herself.
We were slowly making their way towards Clara Mayton's house. Tonight she was hosting what was expected to be the biggest party of the year and neither of us could wait. Especially since Silvo Rainer and his friends were going to be there.
Silvo Rainer was the mystery of Madison Vale High. He was tall and very tanned with coal coloured hair and big brown eyes. Him and his friends were all beautiful in Ella's opinion and she couldn't wait to spend a whole, drunken evening with them.
"Seriously, we've been walking for about 10 years. Are we nearly there?" I whined, my legs aching.
Just as I finished her sentence, a loud shout came from behind us.
"Who's ready to party?!" A loud voice rung out. We turned around to see what was the source of the noise, only to be faced with Silvo and his posse of skaters, following behind. All of them were skating down the large hill, carrying cans of cider and beer. In Charlie Jenkinson's hands seemed to be a large tart.
Ella squealed and grabbed onto my arm.
"Look at how prefect they all are! I could just die right here right now."
They flew past, t-shirts flying and hair messed up by the wind.
"Hey ladies!" Sean Evan shouted and they all laughed.
"Oh my god! They just called us ladies!" Ella gasped with happiness. "They think were ladies!"
I sighed and looked at the ground.
"Ella, they are the most popular boys in school, I don't think they were being serious."
Scowling, Ella pointed at a colossal house, making all the houses next to it pale in comparison. You couldn't really say it was a house, it would probably have to be called a mansion. Huge windows were framed with beautifully patterned curtains and the shiny, black front door stood proudly against the white stone. It was a supremely elegant house.
"Here we are. How great is this going to be?" Ella smiled, dispelling all the clouds of annoyance that had previously been there.
The beat of the music could be heard through the walls and you could see people dancing through the large windows. Ella grabbed my wrist and dragged her up the winding path through the overgrown front garden.
The door was slightly ajar and Ella pushed it open easily. The smell of alcohol and sweat hit me like a ton of bricks.
"It's kind of gross in here isn't it." I remarked.
"Yeah, but this is going to be so much fun." Ella retorted.
As soon as she finished her sentence, one of Silvo's many skater friends took her hand and lead her off, the joy radiating from her face.
I was left alone, in the porch of the house of a girl I hardly knew. Who was I going to talk to? Was I even going to do anything the whole night? Should I just go home? Suddenly my thoughts were interrupted by a low, husky voice.
"Hi. You look lost. Need some company ?"
I turned around to see Silvo Rainer stood behind me. THE Silvo Rainer. The most popular boy in her school and by far the best looking.
"Well?" He asked, getting impatient.
"Um, yes please. I don't really know anyone here." I stuttered, terrified she would make a fool out of herself.
"Follow me." He said, while gripping my hand lightly and started making his way through the crowd.
