Now this one isn't really about the content itself.. more like the content creators.

God knows I, by all means, am not directing to any names. I know we all work hard to write stories and truly I understand how hard it is to accept criticism when you're just starting out. And people can be cruel but when it comes to constructive criticism;

Please be grateful???? because instead of dragging you down for your mistakes, there's someone out there who genuinely wants to see you improve??? They're essentially acting as a proof reader by helping to point out any errors that you may not have realised, and hopes to make your story even better??? So don't be afraid to accept them.

especially when it concerns grammars and spellings.

HEAR me out.

I don't major in English, and moreover English is not my first language. So I can understand if you guys will disagree with me on this. However, It has taken years to get to where I am today, to a certain level of proficiency I am happy with, but despite that I know I am lacking and I still strive to improve as much as I can. I am more than happy for people to correct me on my mistakes. Just as long as they're not an asshole about it. So it baffles me when, I see certain authors with English as their native language, mentions something like this at the start of their story.

"Now I'm not going to tolerate any grammar corrections in the comments. If your going to comment about my grammar just click off the story"

(Yes "your")

Sorry but wth dude??

If I see this at the start of a book, I don't care how popular or great it may be, (though, I doubt it could be since the writer has such .. questionable mindset) I will click off so fast. Fashion gurus on Black Fridays ain't got SHIT on me.

Now I get it I get it, some people can, and will be an asshole, and will comment on every single mistakes they found like they're some sort of English teacher or some shit but from my personal experience, some comments I've seen correcting on books with grammar mistakes are super down to earth, polite and courteous. The type of comments that, you can tell means no harm and that the commenter ain't trying to no one. For instance...

"Hey! Thanks a lot for the story! I know you meant to say "—" but you seemed to accidentally wrote "—" instead :D Haha typo maybe?Thanks a lot for the story again! "

And guess what the author replied with?

"Omg you're so rude"

"Stop correcting my grammars! SUCH a grammar nazi go away"

"How about you go write your own story and start minding your own business?"

...
