...You're The Reason I'm Sane...

Chapter 09:

“Will you always be with me?"

“I promise, My queen..."

Giggles followed the sentence and then,

“Even if I became older and became an adult?"

Looking at the admiration filled eyes all he could reply was...

“Then.. Then.. I will marry you if we became older.."

“Really...?"

“I promise, my queen.."

More giggles and laughter followed after that promise..

Arjun woke up, his face sweating.

Arjun gasped for breath..

Oh God! He felt sick..

He quickly got up and ran to the restroom since he felt like vomiting,

He heaved for breath and splashed water on his face, rinsing his mouth..

Arjun looked up at the mirror, his reflection was pale and his face looked so scary.

Arjun tried to relax, to calm down..

This dream always made him like this, this weak and vulnerable person.

There was nothing sad or scary in this dream but this dream always made him feel restless as if he's missing something.

Arjun went back to the room and sat under the fan...

Ever since he had lost his memories in an accident when he was fifteen...

He was admitted in hospital for two months and his memory had been hazy and unstable of what happened before he was fifteen..

The doctors had advised him that not to stress himself in remembering his past. At first everything was difficult but then he had calmed down a little after remembering his father and mother.

After that Ayaan's mom took care of him, showing him pictures and telling him about how she was married to his father..

Arjun had been reluctant but soon he could remember some of the memories so he settled down and started a new life freshly.

But ever since that Arjun had always had this dream.

It made him feel like his step mom didn't mention everything of his past..

Arjun knew that and came to realize about it when he was eighteen that there was definitely someone in his past very important..

It made his head ache...

He grabbed his hair to stop his mind from going over board. He had hid these kind of episodes from everyone including his best friend Saanjh..

But they knew that he was not alright after the accident. For example, Arjun hated, absolutely hated when someone touched his back. The doctors had told him that it must be something that happened due to the accident he had.

The accident itself was a mystery..

And to top it all that his hazy memories never left him alone at all.

Any people would not care of what happened before their fifteenth age. Nothing important but it was not the case for him.

Arjun could feel it in himself that his past self was demanding something from him, making him to search his mind, angered with him because he forgot something important in his life..
