The sky grew darker as I led, tired and uninterested on the grass beside my closest friends as they chatted about nothing and everything. A sigh escaped my lips as I finally sat up and looked around at the nearly empty park. I didn't dare once glance at my phone, I didn't want to see the texts and calls from my brother. I ran a hand through my H/C hair and I stood up, and walked to a nearby tree, mouthing to the group that 'I'd be back in a few minutes'. I sat down beneath the large oak tree and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

'You really shouldn't hang out with the Shadow Knights.' Spoke a voice above me, I looked up eyes wide with confusion, and saw a Mef'wa student. A concern smile tugged at his lips and his black ears twitched as he leapt from the tree and landed beside me.

'No offense Tree-Boy but I don't really appreciate people telling me what to do.' I replied rolling my eyes. He seemed to look behind me which caused his smile to fade and his ears and tail to puff up. I tried to stifle a laugh but the hilarity in this situation vanished when I heard a all too familiar voice behind me.

'Stay away from her Mef'wa.' Ein began, 'Home now Y/N.' I turned around to argue but the anger inhis eyes killed any confidence I had.
