i'm adding a new character to the story his name is Charleston, and he is a merman warrior and is one of the other people who The king and Queen want Ariana to marry. so yeah that's all you need to know, so here's the chapter!

King Poseidon's POV
"Get the army prepared for war! open the arsenal! sharpen the weapons! close the gates! get the shields! the Princess must be saved!" I ordered to many different soldiers
''Don't worry my king, the princess will soon be safe" Charleston, the leader of the army said to me
"I will hope for the best for my daughter" I said looking down.
Ariana's pov
"well well well'' her voice slowly taunted me as she came to where I was tied up. "you're so pathetic! hoping for someone to save you, well guess what!? they're too late! later today you will be put at the stake and eaten by my pet piranhas!"
"you can't do this to me!" I yelled trying to break lose
"I already have, haven't I?" she smirked then swam away
"wait!'' I yelled to her and she turned around
"what would I have to do for you to let me go?'' I ask cautiously
"give me your kingdom'' she whispered the went away
I don't know what to do, I could give her the kingdom runaway again and be with Niall forever, but if I do that I will leave my family, and all of my subjects will be made into slaves. This is hard!
"wait!" I yelled just as she exited, and she came back
"what will you do to the mermaids if the kingdom becomes yours''
"well as the new queen of the sea, all mermaids will be made into my servants"
"no! i won't let you!" i yelled and started to struggle again.
'' your choice sweetheart.'' she said and laughed ''prepare the piranhas! time for them to get a little treat''
"noooooooo!" i screamed until my throat hurt
soon two large mermen with black eyes and black tails came in and held my arms so i couldn't swim away and they tied me to a stake with some rope they must found on land. my tail was tied down and so were my arms and wrists. then they put seaweed over my mouth so i couldn't talk. the more i struggled the harder the rope rubbed against my skin and tail making me start to bleed.
then i saw swordfish coming by the hundreds into to arena where i was put. then the evil queen came in
"my royal subjects! i give you Ariana, Princess and soon to be queen of the Mermaid Kingdom!"
the crowd boo-ed me
"and now that we have her, the king will give us anything we want!" i yelled "Including his kingdom"
"don't get ahead of yourself Marrisa, you don't know what i am capable of" said my father coming into the arena will his army following behind him
"and it's time for war!" he yelled then madness broke loose.
