Napapikit ako nang mariin habang dinadama ang malamig na simoy ng hangin, like a wild beast tangled in a net. A feather touch of the frigid wind which screamed across the wilderness can soften the humid afternoon heat as it caresses my skin. This place brings me calmness and relaxation kaya dito ako dumideretso kapag mayroon akong problema or may bumabagabag sa akin.

This special place is located at the peak of Mt. Mariana just 500 meters away from our kubo. I discovered it when I was 9 years old. I just kept on running away from home until I found this heaven. I was very miserable that time because of an event which changed my life.

I will surely miss this place. The beautiful scenery of how the sky will turn into red, the shining and shimmering smile of the sun, how the wind whispers in the trees, and the shadows of the leaves dancing in the wind. I need to face the reality as it is, not as it was or as I wish it to be. Hindi lahat ng oras kailangan kong tumakas at magtago. Life is a game. Kapag sumuko ka sa laro ng buhay, talo ka.

Kaya I decided na sa Manila ko ipagpatuloy ang buhay ko. I have my personal reasons kaya kahit na mahirap sa akin ay kailangan kong isakripisyo ang tahimik na pamumuhay sa probinsya. I'm an incoming 4th year education student. Bata pa lang ako ay gusto ko na talagang maging isang guro. At isang taon na lang, gagraduate na pala ako.

Sana

Tumayo na ako and for the last time tiningnan ko muli ang lugar na tinuring kong isang langit. I hope makabalik pa ako dito ng buo.

I bitterly smiled then left.
