"A-alpha Chase, I called to ask you a few questions. First of all, how much do you know about Melena and our family?" I asked, ignoring the fact that he could be my potential mate.

"I know a lot, like last time you challenged a 21 year old man in a diving contest at the pool, and ended up putting the poor human in the hospital." Chase answered.

So that was the video Melena was talking about.

"OK, you obviously know a lot. I have a proposition for you, to get to know you better, we want to meet you. We are visiting a man, our brother, in California in about two weeks, when is the next time you're coming to Florida?" I asked, ignoring my wolf.

"I'm visiting Florida tomorrow morning - which is actually this morning. I actually have some business with Alpha Tashmire of The Blue Moon pack, perhaps you've heard of him." Chase said.

My mouth hung open. "Know him? More like kicked his ass more than once for not cleaning up after himself! He's my dumbass of a brother!" I laughed, making Mel give me a look.

"Oh! That shouldn't be too hard then, how about Mel forwards the address of your beach house to me, and I'll be there to meet you guys at about 6PM?" Chase asked.

"Uhh, let me check with Mel," I turned to her, "he's visiting my brother for Alpha business and shit, he wants to come to our beach house at around 6, is that OK?" I asked, Mel nodded vigorously.

"Yeah, Alpha Chase, you're welcome to visit." I told him.

"Alright, good night my blue eyed beauty." Chase told me.

"Goodnight Alpha Chase." I said, hanging up.

After I hung up, I handed Mel her phone back, sighing I said. "We better go to bed, we have a long day ahead of us." I said, climbing (literally) into my bed and letting sleep overtake me.

.:The Next Afternoon:.

"How do I look? Will he think I'm hot?" Mel asked, gesturing to her figure, she was in a short, knee length, pale, lilac dress, her sunlight colored hair was in its natural curls, brushing her shoulders.

I sighed. "Mel, I want to tell you something. If this Chase guy isn't what you hoped, I don't want you crying about it for a week, listen your mate is still out there, and just so you know, you look amazing, almost enough to make a straight girl lesbian." I told my sister, playing with the silk on my skirt, I decided to wear a black crop top and a full length flow-y skirt, and wore my long hair down, so it was in it's perfectly straight posture, down my back, reaching the middle of my thighs.

"I know, and what do you mean, lesbian? CAM DO WE HAVE SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT?" Mel suddenly shot up from her perch in front of the vanity.

"NO! I said ALMOST! I mean I'm irresistible, but you're my sister, that's incest." I playfully punched her arm.

Coral, remember, no chasing Chase. I quickly reminded my wolf as our doorbell sounded.

I know, Cameron, remind Mel before she gets the door. It's a good pun. She replied.

"Mel, before you get the door, remember, no chasing Chase." I followed Coral's orders.

Mel giggled, before walking out, she shouted. "Meet us in the outdoor dining cabana in the backyard!"

I sighed, continuing my makeup, I tried keeping it natural with some eyeliner and mascara to make my eyes pop, and matte lipstick because why not. As I finished brushing my hair as a finishing touch, I smelled it, Chaccolate, Coffee, and Coconut, the best smells in the world, all in one.

Mate! He's here! Cam, you can't deny that Chase is our mate now, you just can't!   Coral howled, at the thought of having our soulmate in the same house as us.

I ignored Coral, and walked out to my backyard to face the most gorgeous man alive. His moonlight blond hair was messy yet sexy. He wore a white button up shirt under his tux, his muscles making dents in it. While I look in his beauty, he walked closer to me, Mel grabbed my arm.

"Mine." He growled, making my wolf howl and Mel take a step back. Did he mean me or Mel? I looked over at my hopeful cousin, wondering how she'd take the news. Chase had been her friend, not mine. Who was I to swoop in and 'steal' her 'mate?'

"Mate." I whispered, involuntarily.

Mel shook her head. "I-I-I'll leave you two alone..." and with that my best friend ran off into the woods at the side of the beach.

"Cameron," Chase, saying my name sent shivers down my spine, my mate came closer, I took a step back, we continued, until Chase had pinned against my house.

"Alpha-Alpha Chase, I-I have to find Mel, sh-she needs m-me." I stuttered, and tried to get out of Chase's hold, but of course my 5'5 figure was no match for his at least 6'4.

"Don't worry about her, I told her that I loved her," Chase started to say, my body stiffened with jealousy, Chase noticed and smirked. "As a sister and nothing more. I also told her I smelled my mate nearby, I guess she found out now, but anyway, I'll be taking you back to California tomorrow, let's go get you packed, we have to tell your brothers!" Chase explained, kissing me on the cheek, as he did so, he gave me a chance of escape. I ducked out from his arms, and made a beeline for the stairs. But froze as I heard the words I thought I'd never hear again. HIS last words I heard before I killed HIM the , memory that haunts me to this day. The words I never wanted to hear, sounded sweet and romantic coming from Chase, something HE never managed to do.
