Hearing the once cold terrifying words coming from Chase's mouth in a sweet loving way made me break down in tears. Right then and there. In front of my mate. The mate I just told myself and my cousin to not chase.
Chase's eyes grew wide and ran over to my frail body, putting an arm around my shoulders. "Shh, it's okay. You're okay, I've got you. You're safe, come on, let's get you upstairs," Chase cooed, placing one arm under my knees and one arm on my shoulder, Chase lired me up and turned towards the stairs, but before he had the chance to move a muscle, a very authoritative voice stopped him.
"ALPHA CHASE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Yelled my brother's voice. Chase turned around, me still in his arms, tears streaming down my face.
"Oh my god," Mel's sweet voice whispered, stepping inside as well. "WHAT. DID. YOU. DO? MY POOR BABY! OH! CHASE! WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
"G-guys. I'm fine. Taz, I-we-uh-- Alpha Chase is my mate, and, I had a sudden memory of HIM and I-" I broke down in tears again. Chase's bright eyes glowed in anger as he sniffed his way upstairs and into my room. The room I slept in with Mel and I didn't feel like sharing a room. Anyway, my mate put me down on the bed, went over to the door, locking it, then pulled up my desk chair next to it, and sat down.
"Cameron, if we're going to spend the rest of our lives together, you and I have to open up to each other. I know it's a lot to ask, but I need you to be strong, we still have to leave, my Beta will be very upset if he has to deal with my Gamma in charge for more than 48 hours. Also, my parents are waiting for us, I told them that I might bring home my mate, my red haired, freckled, blue eyed beauty," Chase smiled down at me, wiping away my tears.
I blushed, as my eyes connected with his bright aqua green eyes. "I-" I strated to say, but Chase cut me off by pressing his finger to my lips. "You don't have to say anything. Now, are you feeling better? If so, we can pack and we'll tell your family you're alright. Remember, I'm yours and you're mine forever, there's no changing that unless you wanna reject-"
I cut him off "NO! Never! I will never reject my mate." I assured Chase.
"Alright then, let's pack your stuff, and then out," Chase got up, holding a hand out to me, I hesitantly took it, erupting a million sparks within.
"Let me go change into something comfortable, until then, you can go tell my brother that you aren't out to kill me, if you don't, he's going to kill you." I huffed, walking over to my closet. I had moved all of my articles of clothes to this beach house because I don't plan on moving all the way to Jacksonville, there is no way I'm starting my University career with those animals from High School.
Chase huffed, his eyes darkening. No one challenges me. No one challenges the Alpha of The Black Pine pack," He growled, before walking out of my room, slamming the door behind him.
'It was his wolf and it has something to do with his past, he isn't ready to open up to you, just like you won't open up to him. ALSO, our mate is the Alpha of The Black Pine pack! THE strongest pack in the hemisphere, fuck it, even the world! Think of being the Luna of that!' My wolf gushed as I pulled my hair into a messy bun.
'I'll probably just let you take over, as long as you don't seduce Alpha Chase in meetings, since you seem more excited about everything than I am' I answered, putting a stack of clothes into my suitcase.
I didn't get a reply until I had filled up two suitcases with clothes and was moving onto shoes. 'No Promises, Cam, No promises.' Coral finally said, making us both burst into laughter in our head.
"My baby sis is leaving me, with these idiots we call brothers! At least Roy's still in University." a soft voice interrupted my packing which has advanced to my backpack, which held personal items like jewelry, and toiletries. I looked up to see Mel standing there leaning on the door frame.
"Mel-" I started.
"Not another word, I'm happy for you, I really am. Okay, I'm not gonna lie when I say that I am gonna miss you more than I miss Mes freres et soeurs et mes parents (My siblings and parents)" Mel came over and hugged me. Mel had it a lot worse than me, she had to watch her parents and older siblings get murdered by rouges right in front of her, after that our Aunt took care of her until she came to live with us.
"Mel, I didn't even get to see Matt before all this! And, I'm moving to the other coast! I might never see him again!" I complained.
"Camie! Listen, you know Matt loves you, and girl, are you saying we can't keep in touch? At this age? In all seriousness, you'll be happy with Alpha Chase, I can tell he cares about you, and please Cam, don't tell me you don't care about him because you do. A lot, even if you don't admit it, you like Chase too!" Mel exclaimed. I smiled back at her, this is because we are best friends, she always sees the bright side of everything, while I have my personal rain cloud above my head.
"Here, let me help you with those," Chase grabbed my two suitcases as I grabbed the one with my clothes and my backpack. We deopped the suitcases in the trunk of my car and came back inside.
"Camie, I just want you to know, we're always here for you, no matter how far you are, physically, also, Roy is gonna visit you since he lives in California. Matt, Mel and I will miss you and just so you know, we love you!" Taz told me, I burst into tears, pulling everyone into a family hug.
When we released each other, I wiped my tears away and turned to Chase. "Ready to start fresh?" He asked. I nodded, entwining our fingers together. "Good, cause now,
