chapter 1

"you sure it was today?" one of my best friends, Jackie asked for the 50th time looking through benacculars

"yes!" I said back

"don't yell someone might notice and think we're creeps. Just sitting in a dark room looking out a window." my other best friend Avril said and with that we bursted out laughing because that was exactly what we were doing, and not like anyone would notice since it was just us in my house and the old mansion across. You see we live in a small town named Crescent Hill, where nothing ever happens when we heard rumors that a new family was going to be moving in just cross the street was exciting news and since I live in front of them and my window faced their house there we were sitting in my room looking out a window all day behind the curtain.

"it just that we been here all day and it's already 8 pm" Jackie whined after we stopped laughing

"well thank you Einstein for you very clever and brilliant observation" Avril said sarcastically taking the benacculars from her.

Jackie just stuck her tongue out at her. I just laughed at how they were acting.

"you know she kinda right. I mean who moves in in the midd-" Avril said but caught off when we noticed a moving van followed by an Audi r8 spider and a hummer jeep going up the old mansions drive way.

"I feel sorry for them. Who ever they are. I mean that place is so old it just creepy, and its night too." Jackie said Avril and I had to agree with her. Even I got freaked out by how it looked especially during the winter in the night time. It's been abandoned for years even before I moved here with my mom and that was when I was 9, eight year ago since now I was 17.

"I'm getting hungry." Jackie whined and I agreed with because at that moment my stomach growled

"want to order a pizza?" I asked her

"yes! Oh and we can watch a movie too." she said back

"what are you guys going to want on it?"

"mash rooms, green peppers, and all those good stuff" Jackie said

"yours Avril?"

"I want pepperoni" she said turning away from the window "okay all order a 1/3 pepperoni, 1/3 Hawaiian, and 1/3 veggie pizza" they both nodded at this. I was just finishing ordering when.

"omg!" I heard Jackie and Avril say at the same time. I turned to find them both looking out the window with their eyes open wide and mouths hanging open. I went to the window and took the benacculars from Avril shocked hands and looked at the mansion across.
