warnings: season 13, scared hurt Gabriel, brief mentioning of asmodeus being an asshole, brief cussing
note: I haven't watched any episodes for season 13 fully, just snippets and what I read on the wiki for spn cause I'm very impatient and I heard that they brought Gabriel back, who's is my number one favorite character if you haven't noticed. Also enjoy this random gif.

having strange people and things come in and out of the bunker was the norm for you, you've been around since they discovered he place, but one thing you did not expect to find a beaten up and bloodied archangel, who was supposed to be dead, on your bed. You had met Gabriel differently than the guys had and You were currently standing in the doorway, looking at said archangel with wide eyes with a look of disbelief in them. You felt like you couldn't move or breath as you feel if you moved that he would be gone again.
"(y/n)?" You heard the familiar gruff voice of Castiel but you didn't look at him as your hands shook at your side. You felt his hand touch your shoulder, causing you to look up at him. He had a sad look in his eyes as though acknowledging your pain.
"this isn't possible, he's dead" I whispered to Castiel, pain and sorrow evident in your voice as you replayed Gabriel's death in your head, causing a tear to slip down your cheek.
"actually, he never died, (y/n), he faked it" Castiel informed you. You let out a small humorless laugh. "of course he would do that" you thought as the tears you've been holding back started to fall. He gently rubbed your back as though trying to comfort you.
"Who did this to him?" You sniffled, looking up at Cas. He hesitated before sighing a little.
"Asmodeus" he simply said. You tensed up at the name, your hands shaking a little. "He... had him the whole time?" You gritted you, feeling your anger mingle with your sorrow. Cas simply nodded. You took a deep breath before slowly letting it out, your anger slowly leaving you.
"Be careful when going in, he's been skittish due to Asmodeus' torture" he warned you before walking you and leaving you with Gabriel. You tried to swallow the lump in your throat before walking over to your bed. As you got closer, you could see more cuts on Gabriel, along with a couple bruises. He had his eyes closed despite angels not being sleep. You say down at the edge of your bed and gently brushed a piece of hair away from his face.
"Gabe?" You said, leaning your face towards his a bit. His eyes opened and looking at you. He went to flinch away, fear in his eyes, but you gently held him down.
"Gabriel, it's just me" you said, your eyes looking in his. It took him a while before he slowly calmed down. A party of you wanted to cry at the state the archangel was in but the other part just wanted to sit there and hold him, happily knowing he was alive. You helped him slowly sit up, glancing away from time to time. You tried to figure out something to say but nothing could come to say. You heard felt him gently grip your hand, causing you to snap out of your thoughts and you looked up at him. You hesitantly reached up and gently touched his cheek, causing him to flinch a bit before letting you.
"Don't worry, Gabe, you protected me once, I'll protect you from him" you thought as you pulled you him into a hug, tears slipping down your face.
