You were ready to meet Bertholdt and Annie. Reiner, for some reason, came over to your house to pick you up. He was wearing casual clothes... blue, ripped jeans, a dark forest green shirt... and he just smiled as he came by.
"Hey, (y/n). Wanna go now?"
You nod, but your father steps in. "Excuse me, but who are you?" Your father asks you as he approached the door. He stared right at Reiner, who didn't flinch.
"Sir, my name's Reiner. I'm a football player back at school. I know your daughter from her being a cheerleader and I was the one who encouraged her to be one."
Your father's tone changed. "Hah! Sorry, I didn't know. I have seen you earlier at some other games, I didn't realize that. Sorry..." He then turns to you. "Now, go have fun, (y/n). Just, nothing stupid, okay?"
You nod, "Like I would do anything stupid."
"That's my girl." He smiles and pats you on your shoulder, watching you leave in Reiner's car.

Reiner takes you to a park where families played games... seeing the children run around in the autumn, crisp air. The sun beats the screaming children as they were sprayed with water from their parents. The cool breeze said that winter was coming soon... the red-ish color of the leaves started to fall down. Where Reiner took you, two people were silent on the bench, with some food on the table; covered to keep the flies away. The girl had blonde hair and blue eyes, you realized it was Annie Leonhardt. The other guy... he had black hair and he was really tall. He seemed... nervous.
"Oi, Annie! Bertholdt!" Reiner calls out; they both perked up, looking at Reiner. Only Bertholdt smiled. "Hey, I got someone with me."
Bertholdt looked at you curiously, "Who is she?"
"This is, (y/n), someone who I started to trust back at school. And a really good cheerleader." Reiner smiled at you, "And I really think that she's a great person."
You smiled and you blushed, just a bit, "R-Reiner... not really..."
He then starts to laugh. "Nonsense. You're the greatest person that I ever knew... especially like you."
"M-Me?!"
Annie sighed, "Please, stop with your guys' flirting. We're here for one thing, to meet up and have some fun. Now, please. Let's eat already."
"Okay okay. Jeez, Annie... at least loosen up or something." Reiner says, taking his seat across the both of them. "Try not to get stressed this week. I mean, I'm supposed to be stressed right now, but it's not happening because I'm with friends-"
"At least you don't spend your hours training someone for the competition."
"Hm?" Bertholdt jumps in. "Who are you training-"
"Some stupid guy named Eren Jaeger. I mean, he's not bad to be around with, after all, he's not terrible at fighting or anything. But, he wants to learn some of my techniques and I'm trying to teach it to him. It... just annoys me for how much I have to teach him. On the other hand, he learns them pretty quick and uses them just as efficiently."
"Then... why are you doing it if you don't want to do it?"
"I mean, it's for our competition. The better he learns, the more our chances increases to win. That's why. I'm doing this to win."

You and everyone ate some lunch, which was cheeseburgers from a nearby fast-food place. Then, you were left alone as everyone got to tell each other how they were and how things were. You felt... alone and an outcast. Reiner must've noticed because he stopped talking.
"Hey, (y/n) and I are gonna walk around for a bit."
"Okay, Reiner." Bertholdt smiles at him, "We'll be fine."
"Alright then." Reiner takes your arm and leads you away from the table... to a quiet place, where there's no children running around, or couples. "Bit uneasy?" He asks.
You nodded, "Yeah..."
"Heh, sorry about that, (y/n). I get carried away like that... and I'm sorry for getting you into this kind of stuff. I... want you to forgive me."
"I forgive you, Reiner..."
"No... not for that..."
"R-Reiner? W-What are you-"
"(y/n)... please... don't get upset... or angry at me... for doing this."
"Doing what-?" That's when he pulled you close to him and kissed you on your lips. You never felt like this before... at first, you wanted to push him away, but as you lingered, you wanted to go close to him. Your heart led your mind... you walked closer to him. Your arms wrapped around his body and he held you close.
Reiner pulled away, taking a breath. "(y/n)... I couldn't help it..."
"H-How long did you want to do this?"
He sighed, "I don't know... I mean, I did wanted to kiss you back at the mall... but you could say that I was afraid to do it. After all, your parents were there as well... and I didn't want to do it in front of them."
"Heh... that's good..."
"Well? Yes no? Maybe so?" He tried to smile, but you smiling made the air pure from the awkwardness that lingered in the air.
"Sure..."
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks. His eyes were sparkling and he was willing to be with you... loyal and strong.
You take his hand, "Of course... I'll be your girlfriend..."
He pulls you and you fell into his arms, kissing you once more. "I'll make sure that you're gonna be happy... and that... this is my special gift for you..."
