When Marinette arrived home that evening she was wondering who Adrien was. He had said he was the prince's assistant, but Marinette knew that the prince already had one. Marinette then thought about the prince. Didn't he have royal mechanics or something? Adrien was a total myster-
" Marinette" came Alya's voice from the other room. " I'm upstairs! Come up when your done!"
Marinette was the only one who knew Alya's secret. Alya was a lunar shell, but that didn't matter to Marinette. After all that Alya had done for Marinette, working extra shifts at the bakery, bringing dinner (which was why Alya was at her house) and so many other kind and helpful things. Alya had also been her best friend since childhood.
"Coming Alya!" Marinette said, tripping over her chair on the way in, sending her and the chair down.
"Oh Marinette, what are we going to do with you?" Sabine chuckled.
"Sorry Maman!" Marinette said. After lots of laughing and talking while eating dinner Marinette asked Alya if she could stay overnight.
"Sure Mari" Alya said. They did the dishes and got ready for bed.
"What is it Mari?" Alya asked reading the worried look in her best friend's face.
" I'm worried about my mom. She always looks so sad after dad died. What if she-"
"Mari" Alya cut off "Stop thinking like that. You and your mom are fine. I can come whenever you need me, plus you got that mechanic job. How was your first day today anyway?"
"It was good. I kept going off to my own little world" Marinette explained.
"Mari-land?" Alya said. Alya had been saying that for all their lives.
"So how is prince Nino?" Marinette asked trying to take the spotlight off of her. Alya blushed.

Marinette had been watching the two fall in love from the second the two had met. They were amazing together, but he had never asked her out and there was one other tiny complication. Alya was a lunar. They could never be together truly.

"Okay girl. You want to play that game?" Alya said. Shortly after Alya realized that Marinette had never really had a crush on anybody. Alya searched the face that she had looked at since They were babies and saw something unfamiliar.

"Who is he?" Alya said, with a twinge of hurt in her voice.
"No one Alya!"
"Mari, I won't tell! Please just tell me!"
Marinette thought about it and finally told Alya.

"Okay, fine. His name is Adrien and he came by Cinder's shop with the prince. You can't tell anyone about the prince though, okay?"
"Fine girl, but only because I care about you. Anyway what is his last name?"
"Well his whole name is Adrien Agreste, have you heard of him?"
Alya quickly shot up and backed away from her friend and got on the computer.

"Alya, what are you doing?" I asked. I got no reply, so I got up and saw that she was looking at a picture of Adrien, the same one I had looked at earlier and sighing.

"Who is he Alya? You obviously know him." Marinette said.
"Girl, you met THE Adrien Agreste? He is the... Well you know what? You wouldn't care anyway, so whatever." Alya said in annoyance.

Marinette had never taken the interest in the prince as she had.
" Alya, I am tired, can we go to sleep now?" Marinette said, yawning.
" sure Mari, you have a big day tomorrow at Cinder's store" Alya said with a smile. "Let's sleep".

Also if you could vote if you like the chapter or comment on it, it really gives me motivation. Cheers!
