The school seemed back to normal with my first period class going by as usual. Possibly because we did not have a new student grace us with their presence. After my first encounter, I contemplated whether these new people were still a good thing or not. I knew they were not from the same family, but it did not stop me from grouping them. Faelan wasn't particularly displeasing, but he did have an arrogance about him that made you uncomfortable. I wondered if he had Alpha blood in his system that made him that way or if his family was influential? It would explain the tense response he received. I decided to ask my best friend Daciana about him; if anyone knew it would be her. She was an expert in all things werewolf much to my benefit and displeasure. Daciana never failed to rebuke me for not knowing more about my ancestry. But she was always happy to relay any necessary information when I was lost. I would not have gotten through junior high without her by my side. I decided to wait until lunch to ask her so she would have enough time to give me the full story.

With that in mind, I headed to my second period Biology class. The steely atmosphere in the room coming from the students let me know I would meet another new student. At least this time I had learned not to volunteer to show him or her around. I was optimistic, not stupid. Mr. Borg appeared casual enough about the new student telling everyone to get to their benches and prep their dissection materials. My partner Lorna and I fixed our materials while making small talk.

"Have you had any new students?" I asked her trying to gauge her reaction.

"There was a girl in my homeroom, but she didn't introduce herself so I don't know anything about them," her last word was said in such a small whisper I had to strain to hear even for my wolf ears. She said it with such fear I hesitated continuing. What was with the student body today? Had the population decided to hate all of the new students and no one told me? I needed to check my Facebook more often.

I considered getting my phone out and checking my notifications when the door swung open and a tall figure animatedly strutted into the room. When I say tall, I mean tall; he looked at least 6'7 and had the lanky figure to match. His hunter green tshirt and khaki pants hung loosely on his body. What muscle he did possess looked fused to his bone structure resulting in his arms appearing almost skeletal. But that did not catch my attention as much as his hair. I had never seen red hair that richly colored or that long before. It flowed all the way down his back secured in a ponytail. His hair was thick and lustrous and I was immediately jealous of how beautifully it went with his flushed porcelain skin. Red really was his color.

"Hello, young man, you're just in time for our instructions. If you would like to introduce yourself to your classmates, you can take any open bench and we can get started," Mr. Borg said excitedly. He loved his science so dissecting day was a big deal for him; I don't think an atomic bomb going off could have wiped the smile off his face. The Human Tower swiveled to the front of the class. He was creepy, like 'Freddie Kruger meets Nightmare before Christmas' creepy. That creepy where you weren't sure he would kill you but knew if he did, he would chuckle and giggle while killing. I was totally freaked out by him and yet found his Jack Sparrow demeanor endearing. "I am Bardulf T-Sealgair III. I am also referred to as The Bard. I will let you know in time if it has been a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

'The Bard' gave a slight patronizing bow before moving to his seat. He suddenly stopped and backstepped stopping directly beside Lorna. I saw her eyes widen as she pressed her lips together. The whole class watched frozen as he pressed his nose to her breast and inhaled deeply sliding his face up to her hair.

"Your period will start in 37 minutes. I hope you are prepared. If not, you should ask to be excused."

My words were stuck in my throat as Lorna's face reddened to match Bardulf's hair. He did not bother to even lower his voice, just said it casually for the entire class to hear. The class went from tense to awkward in a matter of seconds. What does one say to that?! If he criticized her image or personality, a comeback would have been easy. This made us blink stupidly. I had no idea how to defend Lorna and neither did she.  She managed to stutter out lamely, "I-I'm not due for another four days."
