Chapter 2 - Meeting the new faces

The sun was hitting on Harmony Springs Park and I could hear the birds chirping outside, it was eight in the morning and I was still tired, because of the small amount of hours I slept. I was eating a buttered croissant and the Halls were empty, due to still being early. People would usually come in the Park around 10. As I finished eating the moon shaped bread, I got up and wandered around the Halls.

When I woke up, I had nothing else to do but go to the Park directly so here I was. However, I was hoping to bump into Cyto, still curious about that strange meeting in the well a couple of hours ago. I left the Halls and went to the store area, it's where Dataraven's merchandise was being sold. I nodded to Logan, the manager of the store and he smiled back, and I looked around the store and turned around to roll my eyes at the merch. I feel like all of this stuff was too much, only true crazy fangirls would wear those.. ''I love Data'' t-shirts and crop tops with a heart in the back. And those hats too. Luckily there was a few items that weren't looking too much Dataraven obssessed. The Daddy Data clothing made me laugh, it's something I'd wear if they gave me it for free. I see at the corner of my eye Logan staring at me and I felt bad for him. He was trapped in this store every damn day, greeting guests and newcomers. It was quite sad but he was nice and probably paid high enough to do this.

I was looking at the Data Shoes until I heard someone clearing their throat. I turn to the store's entry and see Cyto standing there.

I waved at him and head out to him and we leave the store, not actually talking. Cyto was one of the rare person that I met the first day I joined this community, he's one of the rare person that didn't get banned definitely. When I joined Harmony Springs, he was already a staff member and he is still one now which is quite nice staff members usually gets demoted after 2 or 3 months. He and 22 are the rare people that never got demoted when I joined. Cyto would be the person who host raids when Dataraven would go on a break, he would be the one who kept the community active, I just had admiration for him even though I would never say it to him outloud because well, maybe it was embarassing.

-So?

-So what?

-What was the meeting in the well for? I ask him as we go down the hill where the store was located.

He doesn't answer for a good minute, until he shrugged and simply said

-I don't actually know, we just talked about random stuff.

He thought I didn't see the frown on his face and I'm even more confused, what did they talk about?

-What random stuff?

-I don't know, it was just weird.

-How weird?

-Why do you want to know?

I'm caught off guard by his question, and I don't even know why. I mean, I should've expected it.

-Why did he want you to meet him in the well when you could've went to the Halls like everyone else?

He lips went to a straight line and he looked at me with a blank face, I feel like he's annoyed with my questions, he's probably wondering why am I so weird. But I'm wondering why are they being weird. He then changed the subject, not so subtly.

-There's tons of new members that came in yesterday, they're coming in..Cyto took out his phone of his pocket and looked at the time. In about an hour actually. I'm supposed to welcome them, he sighed and looked at the Memory Cave.

The Memory Cave was a funny place. It had pictures of many raids they did and two cages. In one, where FirePrancer was laying, attached to chains on the ground. In the other one, Max and Victoria, standing in the cell, blank looks on their faces.

-I don't want to do it though, Cyto whined and grab my arm. Can you do it with me? Pleaseeee. He begged and my eyes to his hand on my arm to his eyes begging. I eventually nodded, remembering the change of subject and that I still needed to talk to him about it.

-Thanks. He said honestly and just walked away. I rolled my eyes at the lame excuse he used to change the subject.

I followed the staff member as we started heading to the monorail. It was a sunny morning and it was eight forty.

-When are the new faces coming? I asked as I bent down to avoid a smacking on the face by a tree as Cyto hold it and released it when I got closer.

A laugh left Cyto's lips.

-At nine thirty.

I sighed because that was in 50 minutes and I wasn't the most patient person ever.

-

It was nine twenty and the newcomers were arriving in ten minutes, a few people had came in the Park, however I didn't recognize any of the members. Probably never talked to them. Cyto and I were waiting at the entry of the Harmony Springs Park. Meeting the new faces was going to be fun, I remember when I first joined, at the time the only person I talked to was Charlie. I remember seeing Star, Cyto, Victoria and Viny being the ''cool kids.'' Little did I know that Victoria and Viny would be definitely banned months later. It was weird, because before Harmony Springs Community, it was called Abusement Park, I think it was a fun name, Dataraven had changed it because they got caught.

But it didn't matter now, here we are, 6 months later getting new members. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw new faces starting to come in Harmony Spings Park. Cyto introduced himself to the people and I just stood there, not exactly know what to do.

I smiled as I recognized the girl of yesterday.

I approached her and she timidly smiled back at me.

-Hello welcome here. I said with a confident tone, trying not to smile too much.

She was smaller than and looked quite young.

-Thanks. She smiled again, looking at me and then her surroundings.

-I'm Nay. I simply said, interrupting her stares into the Park.

-I'm Uni, but call me Keira.

I nodded quickly and gasped when a boy a little taller than her rushed to her. It looked like the boy ran a bit before being here. When he was next to Keira, he gave me an apologetic smile before turning to the girl.

-I thought we were supposed to enter at the same time. He sighed.

-I couldn't wait. She simply answered.

The boy then rolled his eyes and turned towards me.

-Hi.

-Hi, welcome, I'm Nay.

-I'm uh, Noah.

I nodded and smiled again.

The newfaces seemed nice.
