*Angels POV*
I wake up at 5 am, along with my two older brothers. We hurry and get ready for school. I make breakfast and we eat, leaving enough for our father.
We run to the bus stop, and barley make it. I walk to my seat and immediately have to put on the bad boy routine. There is a girl in my seat, smiling a fake smile, laughing a fake laugh. I have to do the same, often. I wonder why she puts on the act.
I start to speak, "Why are you in m-"
She interups me, "Sorry, I'll move!"
She sounds frightened, like the girls in my group do. High pitched and fast. She is pretty, but a natural pretty. She is not stuck-up like them. Why is she faking, if not for popularity?
She moves, and I sit. She is pretty, brown hair and striking blue eyes. But not my type.
The bus pulls up to the school, and I hurry as fast as I can to the school. The bell starts to ring.
"Crap!" I exclaim.
Late once again. I grab my books and head to class. I sit with Shawn, Jude, and Hays. I'm pretty sure Jude just came from the janitors closet. Only Hays, Fawn, and I don't sleep around in our group. Okay, so maybe that's half of us. Ridge and Fawn aren't in this class.
Our English teacher speaks up, just as the girl walks in. I watch her sit in the back, wondering all the while, why the act?
I spend the rest of the day pretending to not pay the teacher attention, to keep up my own act.

I got off the bus, and make the dreaded walk home. I hope I can sneak out later. I get through the front door, and immediately know I won't be leaving. Beer bottles litter the area. Crap.
"Hello, Demon! That's your new name! You made her leave!" screams the man I once called father, as he throws a beer bottle at me.
A shard of glass sticks in my arm, but I don't even wince. The bottle broke on the wall behind me. He missed. Unlike last time. If I can take the beating, without emotion, maybe I can leave.
Hey! Do all that stuff authors always tell you to do! Sorry if it sucked. I think Quinn is easier to right.
Don't break,
Mal
