Chapter 3: From Journey Unknown to Known

Mr. Ankith Mehta and Mrs. Rakhi Mehta - Ayush's Parents

Ayush woke up early... He got up and stretched his body.. checked his phone and saw that Abhi had sent him few pictures.. He looked through them casually .. and.. 

Suddenly noticed that in one pic he took along with Abhi, Niki..that girl was standing beside Niki....She had a bunch of flowers in her hand and looked in the opposite direction of what they stood.... He smiled to himself.. 

His mom came in and said .." Ayush get ready fast we should reach their house by 11... and its already 8 am.... and a few people from the company are waiting for you down.. finish that fast and get ready boy !".... 

" Okay mom.. we can leave by 10:30 am.. that's enough right..? ", replied Ayush... " Hmm okay but don't be late and come down quickly and deal with those company fellows....", Rattled of his mom keeping his coffee beside his bed.... .. 

Ayush smiled ad had the coffee.. took his phone saved that pic..and went to get ready......

After he finished his meeting with the company people his mom, dad and himself started off to the Tripathis house... 

They reached the place... Ayush parked the car and went in ... They all settled down and soon Ayush was sitting idle while his parents and the girl's parents went on talking many stuffs of no interest to Ayush..... After a while .about 30 mnts... Ayush mother asked about the girl.. Ayush listened to that answer quite carefully.. 

" Oh.. Aarohi is doing her Master's in History at DU.. She is a very talkative character.. and always travels... she is our only daughter but we have brought her up with all strictness and I am sure she will be perfect for your son ..wait.. I will call her...", Girl's mother said and got up and went in to being Aarohi in .... 

Aarohi came into the hall..Ayush's mom and dad looked at her and smiled as she proceeded towards Ayush and his family with the glass of Lime juice... 

Ayush was staring at his phone when suddenly he looked up to see the person who gave him glass of lime juice.. He was taken aback.. he could not believe his luck... the girl who caught his attention.. who made him restless throughout his sleep... was standing right before him.. 

Dressed in an elegant peach and black anarkali...she ornamented herself with only a heavy Arabic earring.... She had applied mehendi in her hands and left her waist length her open with a small messy clipping..... 

Ayush could do nothing but stare at her... 

Suddenly the silence was broken when Ayush's mother spoke..

 " Aarohi you look really pretty and I'm sure Ayush will like you isn't it Ayush?" 

She looks at Ayush and smiles back at Aarohi's mom.... 

"...... but look Sajina, I think we should allow them to talk with each other.. they should live for a lifetime together they should know if they are perfect for each other...... "says Rakhi Mehta 

 " Yeah perfectly..Aaru take Ayush to garden and have a talk ..... by the time let's see if we families can get on together for a lifetime !", laughed Virender Tripathi to which all other's smiled.... 

Aarohi and Ayush walked towards the garden swing.... Ayush walked silent... Aarohi broke the silence.....

" So how come you agreed for an arranged marriage...?", she asked with a small smile... 

" Mm... mom insisted and then thought she would knew whats good for me! Well I believe in her choices it has always been the best and better than mine..", went on Ayush when Aarohi interrupted him .. 

" Oh okay okay cool cool.. i just asked.. because being the tagged the most eligible bachelor you could have had a girlfriend or so ! Sorry if I said something wrong...!", 

" Oh! nothing like that you can speak your heart!.. and..  mm... by the way Aarohi, you look so pretty and from a big family why arranged marriage..?", Ayush chuckled at Aarohi.... 

" Good question... ! hehehe ! I don't plan things.. I love it the way they happen.. and so I let things happen.. yesterday mom asked me to check you out.. oops.. heehe..  sorry to see you ..... so i thought no harm let's see... what if I find love between us after marriage.... !", winked Aarohi... 

" woo.. Not bad ! Aarohi !", Ayush smiled... 

They talked.. Aarohi went on saying about her choices and wishes... Ayush too talked about himself.. after about 40 mnts of talk ... Aarohi's mother came to call them.....

 " Aaru and Ayush.. come inside children.. Let's have lunch ....... You can talk the rest with the families.. !", Aarohi's mom smiled........

As they went in Ayush's mother came and sat beside Aarohi and said .. " Aarohi.. we liked you .. and we wish you come as our son's wife..and a daughter to our house.. .. but its more important to know if you would like to be with us.. if you can live with us and be our son's life-partner.. you can take your time and reply when you are sure about your decision..." 

" Thank you Aunty.. I am really happy to know that you don't force be for anything and I'm more happy to know you value my decision... I will surely think and reply... in a week okay Aunty ?", Aarohi asked with a smile looking at Ayush who smiled back at her.

"Aarohi's decision we can know.. but may we know our Ayush's decision..?",asked Sajina. 

"Aunty .. I think me and Aarohi should know more about each other and in a week's time we would make our decision together..If its okay with Aarohi..?",Ayush asked with a doubt face.. 

" That's wonderful ! Great decision son..! what say Aaru..?", cajoled Virender... 

"Okay dadda.. if all are fine then I'm fine too..!",Aarohi replied hugging her dad....    

In a while they all sat down and had a hearty tasty lunch.... They talked and decided to meet to decide later things in a week ................  

They left with a goodbye.. 

Ayush smiled at Aarohi.. and she returned him a wink and a dimpled cute smile.. !

***************************************************************************************   P.S. Ayush and Aarohi have met ! They are gonna start their journey... Let's be with them.. Let's have some Marriage fun .. ...
