The Arranged Couple

Chapter 8 : Engagement Arrangements

Aarohi's family and Ayush's family had planned to shop for the engagement function together and their engagement venue was Aarohi's home garden... 

After arranging the people to work for the decoration of their home and the garden Aarohi and family left for shopping ... 

As Ayush and his mom and dad along with Abhi and Nikki arrived at the shop, Aarohi and her family were already there.

 Ayush noticed another two unknown girls beside Aarohi to whom she was conversing continuously. Later came to know they were her mom's sister's daughters... 

He looked at Aarohi She was as usual in her plain dressing style in a blue full Kurta and a pair of steel bangles with a matched heavy earring....With her waist length hair opened she looked as beautiful as always.. 

Ayush doubted how could Aarohi look so good with such minimal dressing when the women he knew took out heavy make-ups and ornaments to look better than usual.. He was cut from staring Aarohi when his mom started talking..  

Ayush's mom : Hello ! How are you all..?

Aarohi's dad : Oh we are all fine just a little too excited about our daughter's engagement.

Aarohi's mom : We can't just believe our Aaru is getting married... she grew up so fast it seems.. 

Ayush's mom : Oh it happens to everyone.. Even i feel Ayush has grown too fast when I see him in full time business even without his father...

Abhi : Okay so people can we get in and talk more.. because we have very less time... 

And Nikki took over him..

Nikki : That's just two days from the ceremony ! People moveee ... 

..And everyone walked towards the entrance.. and entered the Shop's 5th floor where they had couples dresses together... 

Ayush and Aarohi were made to sit together and the sales men three of them brought 6-10 pairs of dresses for them to select... 

Finally after three full hours they selected a pair of blue shaded couple costume and the rest of the people selected their clothing for the ceremony.....

They all left the shop and decided to have lunch together and then leave for their homes... 

During lunch finally Ayush and Aarohi could talk to each other peacefully... 

Ayush : Finally we could talk.. 

Aarohi : mm Yeah really !

Ayush : I hope you liked the costume .. 

Aarohi : Of course i liked it.. in fact my fav colour is blue and i got it ! I am happy ..to the fullest !

Ayush : Oh I see..! My fav colour is black and maroon... 

Aarohi : Mm.. then why did you take blue..? You could have taken black.. there were many.. I like black too..!

Ayush : Actually mom told no dark colours..! bad omen she believes.. and more over i liked the blue one.. it looked more simple and very comfortable to stay in for those heavy hours.. 

Aarohi : Yeah true..! Even i feel it was simple.. you now I hate heavy costumes.. they are just something which I cant handle...! And jeweller too.. I like it simple.. 

Ayush : Then why such a heavy earring ..that too always you are stuck to such types.. 

Aarohi : You Noticed'em ? wow..!  Actually I love earrings.. I buy a lot of'em ... Its like  a craze for me... And i always prefer large earring with my hair open.. hehehe.. 

Ayush : Nice....! You do look pretty like this.. simple and elegant !   I Like it...! 

Abhi : Oho.. You like it Ayu is it ..? When did you start even noticing girls stuffs..? You never knew to suggest even a ring when i asked for my engagement ! And now look who is talking..! 

Nikki : c'mon..even you never knew to distinguish between a pearl and fake stone ! People learn things when needed..!

Abhi : Where did you come from now..! 

Nikki : I'm always beside you baby ! 

With that everyone laughed..had a hearty lunch and left for their homes.. 

Later that evening Ayush messaged Aarohi after finishing his business matters..

Ayu : Hey..! Hi :-) 

Aaru : Hello...;-) 

Ayu : what you doing..?

Aaru : just came back home after giving my dress for stitching... wbu ?   

Ayu : I was settling some business stuffs.. have a few meetings tomorrow.. which were actually planned for our engagement date so preponderated it .... 

Aaru : Oh k ! where are others.? Abhi and Nikki..mom and dad and all..?

Ayu : Abhi and Nikki left to their home early they had to attend some function.. mom and dad gone to temple.. have some puja ... 

Aaru : mmm..! So you don't go for puja and all ..?

Ayu : No..! I do go.. but due to business i don't go so often that's all.. but every month at least thrice i do go.. 

Aaru : Nice.. here I have to go every Saturday to Shiva temple near our house.. Mom's orders..

  Ayu : So you don't like ..? You go because your mom says..?

Aaru : Not actually.. I do like.. but these compulsory Saturday visits because she says...

Ayu: Oh I see.. ! Nice..

 Aaru : By the way thanks for your compliment on my dressing !

Ayu : No mention please ! 

Aaru : :-) ... Hey sorry but I gotta go.. dad calling for dinner.. 

Ayu : Sure.. even i have to go ..I Guess mom and dad came.. 

Aaru : Oh !Then Bye..! Take care..

Ayu : Sure ! Take care.. Bye ! Goodnight 

Aaru : Goodnight ! Sweet dreams ;-) 

.....And with that brief conversation a very tiring shopping day ended for Ayush and Aarohi !
