A Pull...

Ethan P.O.V.
I glance around the cafeteria distractedly as Ashton jabbers on about his latest girlfriend. "Ethan? Did you hear a word I just said?" he growls.

I stare at him blankly and he sighs. "Dude. I admit that Shaya is cute, but you gotta get your head out of your ass." he tells me, rolling his eyes.

"Who said that I was thinking about Shaya?" I ask defensively. He smirks and replies sarcastically, "Call me crazy, but she's been on your mind all morning. And don't tell me that I'm wrong, because I know I'm right."

"So what if you are?" I grumble, hunching my shoulders. "Then we gotta find a way to get you two together. Plain and simple." he says enthusiastically. "You are way to optimistic. It's obvious she doesn't like anyone here." I tell him, gesturing to Shaya, who is standing against a wall looking irritated.

"You think if she smiles, her face will crack?" Ashton asks, chuckling. "Don't be an ass." I sigh, glaring at him. "Your just pissed that Shaya hasn't spared you so much as a glance since she ran into you... literally." he teases. I ball my hands into fists and take a much needed calming breath. "It would be wise to shut the hell up, Ashton." I growl, narrowing my eyes at him. He shrugs and stands up.

"Where are you going?" I ask, tilting my head back a little to look him in the eye. "I'm gonna go talk to my girlfriend. Meanwhile, you should be trying to get one if your own." he tells me, pointing discreetly to Shaya. He walks away before I can comment and I mutter under my breath, "Ass."

Shaya P.O.V.
I look around the cafeteria in distaste. The mortals are more disgusting then I thought if they eat what I have heard is called 'Mystery Meat'. I grimace as the scent of over 400 students piled in the same room. I feel a tap on my shoulder and look over. It's that human boy with the blue eyes, Ethan. "Hello." I mumble, hoping he would get the message and leave me alone, but no. He has to stand there looking like a puppy begging for table scraps. "Do you need something?" I ask politely. 'Please say no, please say no.' I think fervently. No such luck.

"Actually, yeah. I was wondering if you wanted to come over and sit with me. It can't be too comfortable just standing there." he replies, looking hopeful. I mentally sigh and roll my eyes. "Sure." I respond, barely holding back a sneer.

He grins and his face lights up. "Cool. Come on." he calls over his shoulder, walking back to his table. I sigh and trudge after him. I sit down next to him and he looks at me expectantly. I raise an eyebrow at him and wait for him to spit out whatever it is he has to say to me. "I know you from somewhere. I have no freaking clue where I know you from, but I know you." he rambles.

I furrow my brows in confusion. 'I thought I got rid of his memories of that night.' I think, confused. "I don't know what you're talking about. I've never seen you before in my life." I tell him laughing nervously. "That can't be true. I feel this odd pull towards you and I don't know why. I have to know you from somewhere." he says a little desperately.

I place a hand on his shoulder without thinking about it and he looks up in surprise. "Sorry. I know this must sound bizarre." he mumbles.

I frown and shake my head. "No not really..." I start off. I sigh. "Look, if you really want to know, meet me in the parking after school. You know where." I finish. I stand up and leave the cafeteria without looking back at the confused boy.
