(Just as a reminder, all the characters in this story belong to Rick Riordan! The story line belongs to me! That's all, and I hope the readers enjoy this!)
It's been a week since you moved from your old home to San Francisco. You hate it there. You just want to go back to where you used to live, in a small nice town in Minnesota. You release a long, bored sigh as you lazily mix around your cold porridge with a spoon. You hear so much traffic and vehicle noises. "It's so different from Minnesota," you think. "There was no traffic noise in the country." Sick and tired of sitting at the table with a cold bowl of porridge, you push your bowl away and get up from your chair.
Your mother is at work, so you're home alone. Your father isn't around anymore, because he left you and your mother for another woman. It was hard for you ever since you moved, especially after your father left. You walk over to the TV room to binge Netflix, when you see a large black horse crammed in the room. It's shuffling around, like it's trying to find some comfortable space. You shriek so loudly you're sure the apartment neighbors heard you, but you don't care. And this isn't just a normal horse. It has wings folded on its back. "A Pegasus?" Your mind cries. You run to the phone to call the police, but the Pegasus places a large wing in front of you, creating a border between you and the phone. A boy that was riding atop the Pegasus slips off.
"What do you want from me?!" You yell. "I'm dreaming! I HAVE to be dreaming!" Then you look up at the boy. He's a teenager, and he has ruffly black hair. His eyes are sea-green. If you hadn't been freaking out, you would think he was kind of cute. "How the hell did you get in my house?" You demand. "And is that . . . is that a Pegasus? Oh my god!" "Whoa, whoa, calm down," the boy says. "Chiron sent me, (y/n)." "WHAT THE --- how do you know my name?!" You yell, you grab a kitchen knife and point it at the boy. "Who sent you? Are you a spy from the government?" The boy backs off and scoffs. "A government spy? No, no way. I'm Percy Jackson," he says. "At your service." You don't lower your knife. "Percy Jackson? Never heard of you," you snap. "Well Chiron has heard of you, and he sent me to get you," Percy says.
You step a bit back, but you keep the knife up. "Who's Chiron?" You demand. "And why do you have a Pegasus? I'm confused! I think I'm going to faint!" "No, don't do that. If you get a heart attack or something, Chiron will blame me," Percy says. "This is a dream, this is a dream," you keep repeating to yourself. Before you can react, Percy bolts like an expert and whips the knife away from you. Then he pokes you. "Ouch," you say. "See? Not a dream," he proves, grinning. "But then how do you have a Pegasus? Did you mix the DNA of a horse with a bird? Oh god, what is happening?" You ask yourself. You think you're going crazy. "Look, I can't explain everything right now. But you have to come with me," Percy tells you. "Why? Where are you taking me?" You question. "Camp Half-Blood," Percy replies.
"Camp what-blood?!" You scream. "This is a prank, isn't it? Someone from school sent you to prank me!" "SHUT UP!" Percy shouts, quieting you down. You're finally silent, and Percy sighs. "Look, I'm sorry for yelling like that, but you're seriously annoying me to shit here," he says. "Please just listen to me without jabbering on and telling yourself that you're going crazy." You fold your arms. "Well how would you react if someone came into your room with a giant creature from Greek mythology?" You demand. "Honestly, I felt the same way when I first learned all the stuff," Percy admits.
"What stuff?" You ask. "I swear to you, I'll explain everything on the way to camp . . . that is, if you'll come with me," Percy says, he makes a face that is basically pleading for you to say yes. "Ugh, fine," you groan. "But my mom---" "We're going to have to take care of that later. I'm sure Chiron will be able to convince her with some Mist," Percy says. "Some what?" You ask. "What is Mist?" "Like I said, there's time to explain everything on the way," Percy answers. "Do you have a ride or something?" You ask. Percy gestures to the Pegasus. "Blackjack will be our ride," he replies. "The Pegasus? No, no and no," you protest. Percy looks at you, he looks very bothered. "Okay," you say. You both exit the apartment with the Pegasus. "What if someone sees us with a gigantic Greek creature?" You ask. "Nope, the Mist will also take care of that," Percy replied. You both mount the Pegasus and it takes off into the sky.
