Chapter One "The First Day"

    Its been six days since Ariela lost her little brother. She still has memories of blood everywhere, and screaming. Its 6am, she walks downstairs for breakfast. She makes cereal, and buttered bread. "Good morning", her mother says as she walks downstairs. She kisses Ariela's forehead, and walks to the kitchen for coffee. "Ready for your first day of highschool"? Her mother asks. "I guess" she whispers.. Ariel's was afraid, speaking that it was her first day of highschool. News spreads fast, of wouldn't be long till everyone in highschool knew about her brothers death. She was afraid that if people knew, they would use her loss and sadness to their advantage. She goes up to her room,and begins to get changed. She walks to the bathroom and stops right next to her little brothers room. With big bright letters on the wall saying "Tommy" she smiled. She looks at his bed that was exactly the same as Tommy had left it, messy. She examines the lamp he broke while playing with his toys and socks all over the floor. She chuckles, holding her tears in. She grabs his stuffed animal of a lion, that he loved the most. She can't hold it in anymore. Her tears rush down her cheeks like a overfilled waterfall. She grasps onto the lion tightly. "ARIELA!" She hears Tommy's screams in her head. Sher remembered how he screamed her name but she did nothing. Just stood there paralyzed. "Ariela, Ariela..?" She hears her mom calling for her downstairs. "Ariela, your going to be late for school!" She begins to walk downstairs, holding onto the railing tightly. "Are you alright Ari?" Her mother asks. Ariela nods, grabs her backpack, and walks to school. She walks to school, "almost there" she whispers to herself. "WHOO HOO!" A group of boys yell, all wearing uniform and hats from the same school Ariela is going to. "Noo..." Ariela thinks. She begins to speed walk. "Her!" One of the boys yell at her. She turns around slowly. "Hey that is her!" Another boy replies. She began to worry. Tension began, adrenaline ran threw her veins. Once they turn to greet her. She was gone... She had ran as fast as she could. She finally made it to school. As soon as she walked into class. Almost everyone stared. Its lunch time now, she sat alone. But.. What's new? Ever since the incident she has always been alone in her heart. The bell ring, she runs home. "How was school?" Her mom asks. "Fine". She walks up to her room throws away the food, and falls asleep.
