**Emilia**"I'm going to untie you now," my captor growled, "but if you try anything stupid like before, I'll forget the boss wants you alive and beat you senseless. Understand?"
A wave of nausea and fear washed over me as I nodded.
"Good girl." He ripped the duct tape off my mouth, making me cry out in pain. "Not so tough now, are you?" he taunted, carefully untying my hands and feet.
"What do you want from me?" I choked out, despair overwhelming me. "Please, just let me go," I sobbed.
"That's not my call to make, sweetie." His eyes traveled down to my belly. "Get comfortable, love. I'll be back with some food," he said before walking out, shutting the door behind him.
I surveyed the dim room – just a mattress and an empty table. A sob escaped me as I collapsed onto the mattress, emotions crashing over me. What was happening? What did they want from me? Too many questions swirled in my head.
I don't know how long I sat crying before the door slowly opened. Kim stood there, holding a tray with a bottle of water and a sandwich. I froze, unable to speak. All I could think was that she was behind this.
"Oh! Hello to you too," she said, setting the food on the table.
"You," I managed.
"Emilia, I'm sorry it has to be like this," she started. "But if you'd accepted my offer in the first place, it wouldn't have come to this."
I glared at her, my despair turning to rage.
She stepped closer, empty tray in hand. "The offer still stands, Emilia. You can be free from all this." Her eyes flicked to my belly, a smile playing on her lips. For a second, it seemed like she cared, but I knew better. "Your baby could finally have a normal life."
She continued talking, but I tuned her out, focusing on the tray. Without thinking, I lunged at her, wrenching it from her hands and striking her with it. She screamed, shielding herself, but I didn't stop. "You fucking bitch, you deserve to die!" I yelled, continuing to hit her until she was on the floor, blood gushing—
"Emilia?" A voice shook me from my violent daydream. "Um, huh? What?" I blinked, disoriented.
"Just accept the deal, Emilia," Kim was saying.
I scoffed, clearing my throat. "I'm not interested in your stupid deal. You can take it and shove it up your ass," I spat, adrenaline pumping. "Now get me out of here."
She smiled creepily. "Eat up and get some rest, Emilia. You clearly need it," were her parting words as she left.
I collapsed back onto the mattress, adrenaline still coursing through me. *I'm going to get out of here somehow. I just need to stay strong and calm.* I ran my hands over my belly. I could still feel the baby moving.
My eyes landed on the food. I was starving. I picked up the sandwich and took a cautious bite, then gulped down the water, feeling slightly better.
Lying back, I stared at the concrete ceiling. I was terrified to meet the monster behind this nightmare. If they truly had a vendetta against the Greys, I needed to escape fast. I wasn't just involved with a Grey – I was carrying one.
