Hat Hider (Emerson)

(There will be a few time skips since I don't want to make this super long)

It was April fools and you had the best prank in mind to pull on Emerson. Steal and hide all of his hats in the spots where we went on out first few dates and make a scavenger hunt out of it. I had to work quickly before he woke up.

I went into the closet and grabbed all of Emerson's hats, making sure not to wake him up. Iwalked to the car and filled the back with all of the hats. I put the keys in the ignition and I was off.

~~~Time skip after all of the hats are hidden~~~

I wrote out the last clue just as Emerson walked down the stairs sleepily.

"Good morning baby." He said, planting a kiss on my forehead.

"Morning." I said watching him walk into the kitchen to get coffee.

I waited a few minutes before I watched him walk up stairs to get dressed.

"Y/N! WHERE ARE ALL MY HATS?!" Emerson yelled from your shared bedroom.

I giggled as you walked up stairs. As I entered the bedroom, Emerson gave you a death glare.

"You motherfu-"

"HAPPY APRIL FOOLS!" I said cutting him off.

"I hate you." He said in a monotone voice while rolling his eyes.

"Awwww! I hate you too!" I said, booping his nose.

"Alright the clues are down stairs, come on." I said, gesturing for him to follow you.

I walked to the kitchen counter, him right on your tail.

"Okay first clue." I said, handing him the note.

"There is a place we go for a walk. The children play as we talk. At the end of the day you kissed me in the moonlit dark. You'll find your hats in the..." He read aloud.

I looked at him as he thought.

"THE PARK!" He screamed.

"Let's see." I said as you grabbed his arm and lead him to the car.

~~~At the park~~~

Emerson searched high and low. Around ever swing and slide.  Emerson and I approached the last set of monkey bars.

"There they are." He said pointing to the top of the bars. He grabbed them and placed one on his head.

"Okay, here's the next clue."

"Simple, but sweet. I accidentally got a little of it on your shoe. My heart melted here just for you..."
(A/n idk wtf this clue is lmao)

"ICE CREAM SHOP!"

~~~At the ice cream shop~~~

Emerson ran to the counter where some familiar "cashiers" stood.

"Why the fuck are you two here?" Emerson asked looking at his two brothers.

"We wanted to see if you were smart enough to find your hats. I guess you are." Remington said.

"How funny...give me my hats."

"Soft serve hats comin up!" Sebastian said as he handed Emerson his hats.

"Thanks for letting them stay here and hiding the hats for me Marvin!" I said waving to the shops manager as you exited with the three brothers.

"Okay last clue love."

"I dance around with might. You play the singing keys on sight. Your last few hats are on the..."

"I know exactly where my last hats are. We have to go home." Emerson said as everyone got into the car.

~~~ At the house~~~

Emerson ran through the front door to the living room as the guys and I followed. I watched him garb his hats from the piano top and a note I had left him.

"You found all your hats! Although it's April fools I wanted to make this scavenger hunt sweet by reminiscing on our first few dates. I love you Em! XX" He read aloud.

Emerson turned around to face you. He smiled as he walked over to me.

"I love you too!" He said leaning in for a kiss.

"EW!" Remington and Sebastian said as they walked out the door.

We both chuckled against each other's lips. Today turned out better than I planned. I was so glad to have an amazing man like Emerson.
