Adrian
A girl sat with her back against a tree. Tears running down her cheeks as she hugged herself, nails bitting into the flesh on her arms. The girl's sixteen year old body folded over herself as she cried. Her dark black hair curled on the ends and reached down to her center back. A low cut white shirt around her figure, and a dark black skirt resting on her hips. Dark black boots that went to her knees.
She sniffed, leaning back and reaching for a black bag that was left discarded in the grass a few inches away from the girl. She flipped the grey jacket from atop the bag and fished through her belongings, hand coming free with a glint of metal.
She eyed the blade in her two shaking hands, red iris bright with tears. She grasped the handle and turned the blade around, pointing toward herself.
Breath hitching, she closed her eyes and brought the blade down on herself. Blade sinking into her chest, she stilled. Cough resonating from her mouth, blood trailing from her lips and chest, blooding her dark skirt and the grass below her.
Her body collapsed to the ground, hands falling from the handle and onto the green below, staining it red.
The sky turned from its bright blue to a dark black. Time turning till it became a new day. The young girls body still yet to be discovered.
"Geez," A soft voice rang through the trees, female and filled with annoyance. "Of all the people in the whole damned place, they stick me with two boys." A pause before the same voice deadpanned, "Aren't genders supposed to be equal?"
Footsteps halted, the new girls eyes glued to the dead body before her. Her hair falling long behind her, paled blonde and curled all the way through. Her silver eyes flashed surprise, recognition, and straight up horror.
A scream escaped her throat as she ran to the girl and collapsed at her side, tears forming in her eyes as she grasped for one of the other's limp wrists. Silently praying for a pulse. None.
The year older girl cradled the dead ones hand to her chest and cried, "Celia, why?"
The girl returned to her dorm room late that night after informing the school's security of the situation and asked for a proper burial. She had spent the whole day with her dead friend, mourning.
"You look like death," A voice commented as she entered the room, smirking down at her from the top bunk of bed, arms crossed over the railing. His dark black hair falling around his face, brown eyes holding amusement.
The boy in the bottom bed shot up, nearly banging his head on the bottom of the other boys bed. His eyes filled with fear as he regarded her tear filled face, clenched fists.
"No..." He spoke softly, brown hair slightly static as his clear blue eyes filled with pain. He looked at the girl, silently pleading, "...Verna"
The girl glowered up at the dark haired boy, anger covering her features completely. Lips curling into a snarl as she spoke, "Did you know, Eidio, that I had only one friend is this whole damned world?"
He raised a single eyebrow as he stared back, "You think I care enough to research your life story?"
Eyes narrowed as Verna hissed, "My best friend died this fucking morning. So shut the fuck up."
Both boys' eyes widened the boy on the lower bunk started to have tears run down his face. The other's eyes filled with remorse, all amusement faded, "I'm sorry."
"You basta—"
"NO!" The younger boy cried, hands pulling at his hair as his tear filled eyes turned to Verna. "ITS NOT TRUE!"
She turned her glare to him, "What the fuck do you mean it's not true? I just sat with MY BEST FRIENDS DEAD BODY!"
Pleading eyes turned to her, a whisper barley audible, "Was her name Celia?"
Her eyes widened, confusion, shock written on her face, "How do you know her name?"
A sharp intake of air was taken from the boy as he doubled over on himself, "Oh god... No it can't... I'm so sorry! Oh my god I'm sorry! I didn't think it was real!"
"Adrian?" The older boy question as he stared saddened confused eyes at his friend. Verna, she only hardened her eyes.
Her soft voice coming dangerously, "What do you mean you're sorry?" She crept up to the boy, hands grasping his collar as she forced the boy to look at her, "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?"
"I knew," His tearful eyes showed regret, "I knew this would happen. I'm so sorry."
