using the help of their allied doctor, (y/n) and norman would converse with each other through the scratch papers they used from their tests. though it won't be that easy for the two because they could only send small notes with limited spaces to write.
it took them months to construct the littlest part of their plan. indeed, doctor smee could visit them from time to time, which means he could easily pass the teen's info to one another. but the work he has to do is mandatory and that the teen's rooms are both implanted with a mic.
he did note that outside their room, to the corridors and the laboratory, there's was no other security aside from the surveillance cameras on the corners. and of course doctor smee helped norman and (y/n) familiarize themselves with the building's map, giving them as much information he knows about the hundreds of rooms in the area.
for a while now, doctor smee and the two teens have been playing around with lambda's security.
with this information, it still wasn't possible for them to talk to each other normally. (y/n) and norman is forbidden from seeing or meeting each other. as peter ratri considers them a great danger to the lambda operational unit.
and it wasn't until doctor smee proposed an experiment to the head of the farms.
"who knew a two week 'quarantine' could turn into half a year?" (y/n) hangs her head at the edge of her bed whilst she dangles her feet on the other side.
to her view, doctor smee was upside down, so are everything. half a year passed from her chip's removal and today marks the third anniversary of the grace field escape. today is ray's fifteenth birthday, (y/n) thought in a sing-song voice as she hums the birthday song to herself. we're getting older, we'll be an oldie in no time. she stifled a laugh at the thought of the trio's hair turning into shades of gray.
in (y/n)'s palm rests a clip of several pieces of small papers. she'd always bring it with her everywhere she goes, it'd be a shame if someone found the notes and their grand escape gets exposed.
clicking the mic on- "good afternoon, (y/n)," doctor smee greets the (h/c) haired girl. upon hearing the doctor's voice, (y/n) immediately rushed to sit up, excited to know the physical activity they're going to do today, "you'll play chess with someone today." the girl was exhilarated because she's been waiting for this day.
"you're going to play against 22194."
(y/n) fought the urge to squeal and skip her way to the opening of the metal door. she wanted to look professional and that she wasn't excited about meeting the boy in any way.once she set her foot at the hallway, (y/n) promtly walked her way to doctor smee. strolling in front of him but smee pulled her shoulder back to his side, "don't make it obvious that you know the way to the activities room," doctor smee whispers and the (h/c) haired girl gave him an apologetic look.
"sorry, hehe."
in the end of the hallway, (y/n) saw the silhouette of two different people. one possesses a feminine figure, her hair was tied in a low bun and just like doctor smee, she seemed to have the same uniform as he does. the other person looked somewhat familiar to (y/n).
to her surprise, the feminine figure she saw was a demon. she looked so much like a human, if it wasn't for her mask and the unusual blue color of her skin. she wonders if the demons is nice. standing beside the said demon, is a tall male. and (y/n) immediately recognized him by the ocean eyes he has, and the menacing stare he had.
she saw the messy white hair he has, it was once platinum blonde when they're still at the orphanage. one feature that (y/n) first noticed was the boy's height, she thought puberty really did some magic to him. his expression was serious, even when their eyes met. he doesn't seem like he's surprised at the sight of the (h/c) haired girl again. to (y/n), he looked extremely intimidating for a fourteen year old.
