Chapter 4

We pull into a beautifully landscaped area that leads to the mall. The mall is huge and I can't help but feel excited to shop here. We park and begin to walk into the mall.

As we walk into the mall my phone rings. It's Jack I know I need to answer it so I excuse myself from Meg for a minute.

"Hey Lilly I miss you" he says.

"I miss you too Jack, What are you doing tonight?" I ask

"Nothing so far" he says.

"Come over and we can have dinner together" I suggest.

"Okay how does 7:00 sound?" He replies.

"Great see you then!" I agree " I love you" I add.

"Love you too! Bye". After I hang up I put my phone in my purse. I have lost my phone before and won't let it happen again.

Then I walk over to Meg and we continue to walk into the mall.

"Wow" I mumble.

"I know it's great!" She sings.

"So who was that?" She asks wiggling her eyebrows.

"My boyfriend Jack. He's coming to my house for dinner. Acually, You should come over and meet him. I'm sure he wouldn't mind" I say. At least I hope he won't mind.

"I don't want to interrupt anything" she says nudging me causing me to blush.

"You won't... Uh... W-we..um..we haven't..." I say uncomfortably, but she got what I was saying.

"So where do you want to shop first?" She asks changing the subject.

"What about we go to Victoria's Secret. I hear they are having a big sale" I say.

"I like the way you think Lilly"

While we are at Victoria secret, I pick out a cute bikini and find Meg over by the panties and bras.

"You wear this stuff?" I chuckle.

"You don't?!" She asks surprised.

"My mom would murderer me for even being in this area of the store" I chuckle.

"Well today you are going to have to not worry about mamma, and let me help you" she jokes.

The next thing I know I am being measured for a bra. While I am being measured, Meg is picking out underwear and god knows what else. It's funny how I just met her two days ago and I feel like I have known her for so long.

It's funny how I barely know her and I'm letting her pick out lingerie for me. I pay and The lady hands me my three large shopping bags filled with new under garments.

The rest of our shopping trip goes successful. I got to know Meg better too. She is majoring in teaching and that is where she met Louis. She works at a daycare near our apartment building. I learned she is going to go to Africa to help kids and adopt children as well. She really has a passion for children.

After lunch we return to our apartment building and it is 3:00. I have enough time to go and get some groceries. When I get back I look at the clock and it's 6:00. So I hurry up and unload the groceries and the um... Stuff I got from Victoria's Secret. Then there's a knock. When I look at the clock it's 6:30. He's really early.

I open the door to a smiling Meg. She said she wanted to help me get ready for my date. Then there is another knock thirty minutes later. Meg winks to me and tells me to open the door.

"Hey lilly"Jack says pulling me into a hug.

Once we get inside Meg clears her throat. I laugh and remember she is still here.
