Chapter 1: Reincarnated

After two months

"Ugah. Woo ugr." I try telling my mother my apprehension about my being baby again because why the hell not? She's my mommy. I'm sure she'll understand.

My mother smiles and coos at me. "It's okay, darling."

She places a cute bunny stuffed toy beside me and I giggle to show my happiness. That's my favorite toy. She really knows how to make me feel better.

Regarding me being reborn, I just accepted it without complain. There's really nothing I could do. Whether I like it or not, I'm stuck with this body.

Fortunately, I've retained my past memories. My name was Celine Anderson, a 16 year old senior highschool student going through her rebellious phase. Before I died, I remembered having a fight with my parents resulting to me being kicked out of our house. The exact conversation and reason though, were forgotten. With no destination in my mind, I went to the part of the town where homeless people gather. I had few acquaintances there, and they told me I can stay with them if I join them in their job which was stealing. It was stupid, I whole-heartedly admit, but I was angry and irrational. The night came and we went to this mansion. It was a really big mansion. My heart was bursting with excitement.

The whole stealing thing was a success. The problem was, a kid sitting on a wheelchair saw us on our way out and my 'friends' wanted to silence the defenseless kid. Despite my rebellious and cold attitude, I refuse to harm anyone intentionally. I do have a moral compass albeit a slightly crooked one. So I tried to stop them but obviously, I failed and died.

Ugh. I hope the kid is alright. I do feel sorry for my past mom and dad though, for having a daughter like me. I'm sure they feel guilty because I died without even reconciling with them. I'm so sorry for the trouble I caused.

Now that I think about it, people really influence me easily. I'm so lame, it sucks. I really got to do something with that.

Back to the present, I discovered that my name is actually Anastasia Eastoft. It's sounds ancient but since it was my mother who named me, I had accepted it with all my heart. More importantly, my name must sound very familiar. Why? 'Cause it's exactly the same as the name of the main villainess of the "Guardians of the Kingdoms" or GOTK, the hottest and latest otome/gal game released during my past life.

Ah. The joys of playing that game. With its beautiful CGs, characters, and 350+ endings, you can never go wrong with GOTK. Every route is hard and requires a lot of careful decision-making. I actually never got to finish the game because I was kicked out of our house and died. That's why I only know about 50 or so endings and I'm kidding you not, I, Anastasia Eastoft, always have some part in the story.

This game goes like this:

"Guardians of the Kingdoms" is a game which has two playable characters. It's up to you which one you want to be: a boy or a girl. If you choose the boy, you'll become a prince who's born out of wedlock. If you choose the girl, you'll become a commoner and be adopted by a baron. Both of them are seriously OP: blessed with rare magical affinities and geniuses that appear only once in a century. If you choose the girl, the boy will not appear in the story and vice versa.

Since I really like bishies, I always opt for the MC girl. In the MC girl, there are 4 availablefromthegetgo capture targets, 3 normalhidden capture targets, and 2 hiddenandalmostunattainable capture targets. Her reverse harem consists of: childhood friend, crown prince, sensei, duke's son. The only normalhidden character I know is the vampire. The other characters though, I have no idea except that you will go through unimaginable length to even discover them.

In the MC boy, your capture targets are the love rivals of the MC girl including yours truly with some hidden characters here and there. Since I haven't played the game as the MC boy, I don't know the specific events that had happened there. According to the main website of the GOTK, the MC boy's capture targets are still very much in love with their respective partners (MC girl's capture targets) and it is your goal as the hero to make them fall in love with you instead. What's good about being the MC boy is that you'll discover the 'other side' of the story. But let's forget about the MC boy and focus on the MC girl/heroine completely.

GOTK is an adventure fantasy game, a combination of rpg and visual novel. The story will start as a typical highschool visual novel. You will attend the magic school for all races located in the neutral part of the continent. In the latter part of the plot, it will turn into an action/adventure rpg game because as the heroine of the story, you are the one destined to protect all kingdoms (human, vampire, other races) from the upcoming apocalypse (monsters evading the kingdoms) with your OP abilities and harem. It's seriously fun.

The main villainess of the whole story, Anastasia Eastoft or in other words me, is the daughter of a powerful duke from the kingdom of Faylea, a kingdom that consists of only human race. Anastasia's older brother and fiancé, the crown prince of Faylea Kingdom, are capture targets. She is the heroine's love rival for these two and thus is most active in their routes. No exaggerating, Anastasia's one insane b*tch. Her attitude is rotten to the core that players are left too disturbed. The game developers even received many hate letters for Anastasia. What's most disturbing is that she's got no background/dark past/sob story or whatsoever to justify her attitude. In the story, she have done bunch of disgusting deeds such as sending men to rape the heroine, forcing her brother to marry other girls, drugging the crown prince, selling her soul to the monsters to defeat the heroine (some are too horrible to mention). She's crazy. Every ending― happy, bad, or normal, she will receive a bad end (death, torture, death).

Imagine the horror, she and I... the same!

I don't want to end up like her. I refuse.

I probably won't but still, if I'm not careful I will end up dead like her. So now, my final verdict is to be a full fledge baby and a mob character! I promise to listen to my new parents, become their good daughter and become a good sister! I will try my hardest staying in any of the characters' way. No crown prince! No selling my soul to the monsters!

I know I can!

My thoughts, however, are interrupted when someone poke my nose.

I stare at my mother. What now? Your daughter is thinking about her upcoming doom, you know?

"You look hungry, sweetheart. Let's get you fed, shall we?"

When I heard that, I let out a cry. Just like every reincarnated character, I discovered the humiliation of being a baby. To poo and pee without control, to be changed by other people, to be carried around, etc. I also found out that breast milk tastes awful.

I tried telling that my mother for the hundredth time― not that she listened.
