It must have being hours into the night because by the time Nads woke up two things were certain, she was having a hell of a headache and someone was knocking no the person was banging at the door. She could bet on her life it was Akin, and she could bet on her soul that he was drunk as hell.
Ignore it, a voice told her and for a while Nads just wanted to dive back into the bed hug and pillow and keep sleeping, and maybe she did that for few minutes, just a tiny little more minutes before the banging started again, this time coupled with swear words and incessant shouting. She stood up, unbolted the door and before she could turn the door knob, the door opened showing a very angry Akin. He pushed her out of the way, staggered inside the room and closed the door with a loud bang.
"what in the world was that Nads? you make me stand outside my own apartment for like 5 minutes are you insane?"
" as a matter of fact you are the crazy one, coming into the house at this time of the day? what in the world were you thinking? you want to bring down the apartment or something? you were disturbing the whole neighbourhood" Nadia gave him back with fury in her eyes, her headache was intense and she just remembered the condom she saw in the room earlier, Akin voice was mumbling some words and she couldn't bottle it up anymore, she snapped.
" what the fuck do you think I am? where have you been since morning? you have the audacity to disrespect me and bring another person in here and leave me to clear the place"
Nads did not know what she said wrong until she felt a sting on her cheeks as she staggered, her back against the wall. She looked up where the pain came from and when she did that she knew she was in trouble. Akin gave a small smile before moving he came closer to where she was his body pinning her on the wall.
His breath was smelling of tobacco and alcohol, his body having a faint stench of sweat and female perfume confirmed her suspicions, he was with another person.
"where is this coming from? these confidence you have to speak to me anyhow, I am the one taking care of you remember? oh! I see, people have started talking rubbish to you right?"
"answer me Nads" using his finger he pressed her jaw " are you deaf? you think you have a right to complain?"
Nads struggled to release herself from his grasp, thanks to his hazy view he wasn't strong enough to keep her for long.
"that's it I am tired of this, I can't cope with this attitude of yours, it's over Akin" Nadia went inside the wardrobe and brought out a small duffle bag, it can't contain all her loads but this would just make do in the meantime. As she took the first cloth and folded it into the duffle bag, she felt the force of the piece of clothe snatched from her hands, next was the duffle bag which was flung to another side of the room.
"where do you think you are going?" another force landed on her face, he tightened his grip on her wrist, Nadia struggle to release herself, her instinct told her to just give in, but she was suddenly tired of giving in every time. She bite his hand, which just earned her another back hand, Akin dragged her inside the bathroom, carrying her inside the bath tub, he dumped her like a sack of rice and on the shower on her.
She tried to argue with him, but it was it he was getting turned on, by her shouts and her tears. He joined her inside the tub, using his two hands to trap her, he crashed his lips on her, using one of his hands and in one swift movement he pulled down her short, with the water running all over her body.
Nadia's mind took her to a scene where she was kidnapped at a time and she tried to escape, one of the comrades has eyeing her for a while, but for the fact that she was with their boss made it easier for her at that moment.
After days on planning her escape, she pretended as if she was asleep and when it was a bit quiet, she rose up tip toed out of the tent she was staying, the rain was drizzling a bit that day and that should have given her a sign, but she was to desperate for an escape. She bided her time as some of the soldiers on parade passed where she hid herself, her stature was small then and that was an advantage for her because she was able to squeeze herself inside the corner till they all passed.
When she saw the opportunity she raced as far as her legs can carry her, but some kind of ill fate must be on her because no sooner has she taken the few steps another heavy footstep followed her and when she wanted to make a turn she felt a hand on her shoulder, she turned out of fright to see the guy that was always staring at her holding her with an evil grin, the rain that was drizzling at that time was already getting heavy, as she tried to escape his grip, but she slipped with a splat on the floor.
The next thing she knew was her clothes being torn and taken on the muddy floor in the rain.
coupled with a memory from the past, she screamed, but the sound of water in the tub drowned her shout, trying to release herself, she wasn't sure if it was the past or present but she pushed him with away from her body, he must have seen how frightened she was because, he suddenly stopped to look at her, the extent and the awareness of what he did dawned on him. He seem to be lucid now probably due the fact that the effect of the alcohol was wearing off
"I am so sorry, I didn't know what happened to me, oh babes am so sorry"
he rushed to the shower to turn it off, grabbing a towel from the rack, Nadia was sitting inside the tub now and shaking, he wasn't sure it was because of the cold from the shower or the shock of what happened. Akin used the tower to dry her body, using it to cover her, he carried her out of the tub into the bed.
"Nads am so sorry, I didn't know what happened, I have being going through a lot of pressure right now and I just snapped, you need to understand babes, I can never hurt you" Akin used his hand to raise her face up, seeing the damage he caused, he felt sorry again and apologised but all that didn't seem to appease her, he rubbed his palm on her back hoping that will soothe the tension out. After what seem like hours she stopped crying and she was just quiet, dropping her head on her laps, she was as still as a dead chicken. Akin wasn't sure what to make of her rigid posture.
"Nads! Nads! talk to me please, say something, I love you" that seems to get her attention, she raised her head up trying decipher if he heard him right. He loved him? Nobody has ever said it to her before.
" are you serious? you really mean it?" Nads wanted to know she needed to hear it, it was if her life depended on those three words.
" yes, I do, I love you babes, am sorry, I will never intentionally hurt you and leave you alone"
Akin saw that her countenance was down and her eyes shone with a little ray of hope, that was what he needed to gather her in his arms and satisfy his lust.
