"Mr J" you said in a low voice, biting your lower lip. But he gave you no chance to keep going.

"Doll, I warned you before: you keep doing that and you won't get out of here tonight." he said looking at you with those piercing eyes that made all air get caught in your lungs.

"Sorry" you mumbled, realized it was a habit you had picked up around him and that probably wasn't the best thing.

"Good, don't wanna make me have to punish you, do ya?" he whispered to your ear and you gasped softly, pulling slightly away; but only slightly because his grip on you was as tight as it could get.

"No, sir." you muttered, looking down. He got your attention though when he started laughing.

"Oh (Y/n). Sweet, (Y/n)." he ran a finger over your cheek, almost making you shiver and you hated to admit it so much. He wouldn't say your name very often but the fact that he knew it made you feel as if he had some hold of you and, sure as hell, whenever he said it that hold seemed to be right there: He was pulling you in and you had not fully realized it yet.

"You know just the right things to say, don't you?" he grinned and the only thing that felt right to do that moment was shrug.

"I- I am not really trying, J. But I guess thanks." you found yourself whispering. You cursed at yourself in your mind for how you couldn't keep your mouth shut.

"Tell me though, little angel." his face got closer to yours again, dangerously so "I am guessing you didn't expect only business for tonight, so what else did you have in that pretty mind of yours?"

"I- I didn't have anything in mind, J. I- I only was willing to... do anything you asked me to." you shrugged, frowning slightly when he stopped swaying with you.

"Sweets-" he grinned widely at you "-Careful what you're saying, you'll have to keep your word then." he said and you blinked.

"I- I didn't mean that, Mr J." you cleared your throat, feeling your cheeks heat up. You were surprised by yourself but you didn't actually flinch when he started laughing at you.

"Come on, (Y/n)!" he exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air "Don't ruin all the fun for me now!" he shook his head, plopping on the couch "Come on" he said in a much more serious voice tone and expression. Again you weren't surprise by the sudden mood change.

"Have a drink with me, let me get to know you a little more. You didn't stay very long last night." he patted the spot next to him and letting out a shaky breath you walked around the table and sat there, all the while feeling his eyes glued to you making you entire body temperature rise.

"I stayed about five hours in your office, Mr J." you blinked and he rolled his eyes at you.

"Nah nah nah nah naaah! Not enough, oh (Y/n) don't you see that? Not even months, not even years are enough for you my beautiful." he smiled, extending a hand to hold your chin "Now- where did we leave that conversation we started at?"

To say that you didn't find it disturbing that the Joker seemed so interested in you would be a major lie. But other than disturbing it was intriguing. You couldn't understand why but you really wanted to know how that brain of his actually worked, how in his total insanity there were things he said and did that seemed so well-though to the point you'd think he was a genius. But at the same time you were scared, you were really scared. You feared that once you tried to get to know more of him that he'd pull you in. You feared that if you let him in he'd be able to grasp at parts of your soul nobody else ever had and that he could play you like a puppy and you just couldn't afford to lose yourself. This man walked on that very thin line between insanity and total genuity and at moments you couldn't tell if it was possible he proved you wrong. It was, you had come to realize (especially after having gotten no sleep all night and thinking about him), just what had made him who he was; the most notorious criminal and probably the most dangerous of all – the monsters you've faced included.
