Chapter 10
Gajeel was making his way back to his room after meeting with doranbolt, he was engaging in a conversation with lily the topic of said conversation was not to his liking. "Shut it cat. Like id like a midget fairy.. pft " spat gajeel looking at his exceed partner with a pointed glare that was not fooling the exceed in the slightest "I know what I saw and I stand by my opinion" stated lily with a sly smirk "watch it cat… we have far more important things to talk about" grumbled gajeel, "yes I suppose your right, we can talk about your attraction to the petite fairy later" said lily as he looked at his partner, noticing how he had suddenly started sniffing the air " little shit" snarled gajeel as he took of down the hall .

"that little shit how the hell did she get out… maybe I measured her wrong… " thought gajeel as he stopped at the split in the hall way, sniffing the air to find what path her scent trail was stronger, after quickly picking it up he shot of once again and stopped suddenly at the other end when her scent seemed to disappear "hmm so shorty want to play hide and seek geehee.." thought gajeel as he spotted the head of the palace guards coming down the hallway to his left, gajeel turned back sniffing the doors he had past coming across the doors to the library where her scent seemed to disappear behind the large door's, he grabbed the handle but decided not to open it instead slipped into the shadows and entered under the door slipping into the room unnoticed

Gajeel slipped into the room and found her scent to be fresh in the room he could tell she was still in here keeping to the shadows gajeel followed levy's scent trail and found her behind one of the book cases, bent over on her knees wearing the maid uniform she appeared to be looking at the door through the gaps in the book case, clearly she had heard him at the door, he covered his nose quickly to stop the rush of blood "what the hell is she wearing that for..." , referring to the scantily clad maids uniform that was giving fuel to the gutters of gajeel's mind.

gajeel's inappropriate thoughts where cut short by the sudden twist of a door handle, looking round he seen the palace guard from earlier enter the library had entered the library and started looking around as if searching for someone, as the guard neared them, gajeel realized the blunette was going to get caught and just as he processed the thought of grabbing her she did something to the front of her that he couldn't see and then suddenly she was gone, the dragon slayer stood in the near by shadows dumfounded wondering where she went "where the hell... teleportation magic? no she would have just got out straight away instead of run from me, wait she's... still here gihi, inadvisability magic of some kind..." gajeel realized levy had not in fact left just hided her self from sight at the realization that her sent had not began to fade it was still there just mixed with magic.

keeping close to levy's sent he followed as she kept her distance from the guard but was still clearly following him, gajeel thought the girl had clearly gotten her self caught by the guard and was merely waiting for him to leave so she could escape the palace, but that proved to be wrong when the he suddenly stopped at a book case at the back of the library and suspiciously looked around him, it was then he realized that this guy wasn't in fact looking for someone, he was making sure he was alone, but why he didn't know but was curious to find out, but he had more important thing to worry about like a run away shrimp "what the hell is this midget up to she could have made a break for it by know" gajeel was brought ou of his inner thought once more as the palace guard pulled on one of the books and the a passage way opened to a set of stairs.
"well that's just cheesy" thought gajeel he went back to consecrating on levy's sent when it stared to make its way towards the book shelf he realized the curious little shrimp had fingered it out before him that the guard was acting weird, he got hit with the sudden feeling of approval "not bad shrimp.. not bad at all" thought gajeel as the guard descended the stairs he then picked up on a familiar scent it was his uncle king jose.
confused gajeel couldn't help but wonder why the hell his uncle was in a hidden room in the library, the room was clearly a secret gajeel knew this because, his uncle would have told him about it or the captain of the guards wouldn't be so cautious as he opened it, the only thoughts left in gajeel's mind where now consisting of a mix of why the hell is the a secret room in the library that the guard knew about that he didn't, what the hell is in there, and a hint of damn noise shrimps, but those where cut short at the whisper that graced gajeel's ears "cana... your going to laugh your ass of when i tell you faithful encounter was a book" whispered levy "faithful encounter? uhh what the fucks that suppose to mean... cana? maybe booze chick" thought gajeel.

gajeel followed levy's scent to the opening of the secret passage then down the stares in the ark corridor of the stairway it was much easier to hide in his shadow form, descending the stares he noticed the sent and light whispers of the girls footstep had stopped at the corner, he quickly maneuvered himself to her right to peek in the room while still going unseen by the girl her self, he knew she must be listening in on the conversation but he also knew that the king and the guard where to far away for her to hear, they where at the other end of the office the small corridor at the bottom of the stairs opened up to, it was just jose and the head of the palace guard alone in the room "tch so this is where he's been.. fucker knew i was coming back yet he hides out in some freaky room behind a book case " thought gajeel he was pissed and the reasons why seemed to be piling up.

"so he has the document?" asked jose " yes " replied the armored man "how the hell dose he know i have it?" thought gajeel, " it such a pain trying to listen when your wearing that head gear of yours" moaned jose in a slight mocking tone, after which the removed his head gear, gajeel had seen his face before but where" well duhh hes the head of the palace guard of course you've seen him before " thought gajeel, his head snapped to the side as he heard a small shuffle and a slight thud, he sniffed to cheek she was there but she definitely was because she appeared just beyond the door closer to the stairs then she was gone again only to reappear as he watched her move her hands from her mouth to her temples the fear was clear on her face, if you could call it fear she looked no less than fucking terrified, had she spotted the shadows or what he had no idea but suddenly he shot out of his shadows as her eyes roll back and she began to fall.

Instincts taking over gajeel had rushed over and caught the girl before he could even process what he had done, sweeping her up into his arms princess style, gajeel looked down at the small girl in his arms realizing just how small and fragile she was making him feel a slight tug of guilt for being so ruff on her, but he quickly brushed that off, now more focused on what the hell her problem was one minute shes like some pro with her little invisible stunt, hell if it wasn't for his dragon scenes shed have fooled him to , but then she just looses it, the look of absolute horror he seen on her face, had taken him by surprise to say the least.
"what the hell was that shorty" gajeel thought as he took levy into the shadows with him and headed up the stairs and out of the library making his way back to his room, his mind plagued with thoughts on what was up with the uncontentious girl in his arms.

once reaching the beginning of the corridor that leads to his chambers gajeel exited the shadows and walked the rest of the way, brushing off the fatigued using his shadow magic for so long had left him with he entered his bedroom closing the door behind him, not yet noticing lily and juvia by the window to busy caught up in his thoughts gajeel placed the small blunette on his bed, gajeel couldn't help but think how she looked good on his bed "gihi shorty isn't half bad looking" thought gajeel as he turned his attention to juvia and lily...
