Jason's POV

I sat there waiting for class to be over so I could talk to my Lily....wait, since when did I start calling her my lily. She isn't my Lily...yet. I was annoyed at myself. I was annoyed at Alice. I was annoyed at Emmett. Alice keeps bothering me about what I'm going to say when I see Lily again. Emmett is teasing me about Lily being my girlfriend and mate. And most of all, I can't seem to get my head straight. Wherever I go, I can't stop thinking about Lily. I'm not sure what it is about her, but she is amazing. Her eyes sparkle when she smiles and when she laughs, she sounds like an angel sent from heaven. I know, it sounds corny but its true.

"Not thinking about Lily again, are you?" Dad asked from my right.

"Um, no." I said.

"Yeah, suurree your not." He teased, smirking.

"Ok, ok, I am thinking about her. I just can't seem to get her out of my head." He told him.

"That's what happens when you meet your soul mate. That's what happened when I met your mother." He said wistfully.

"Yeah, but Dad, I'm not a werewolf. I can't imprint." I argued.

"You don't have to be a werewolf to find your mate. Look at your family." He said.

My family all had there mates. Emmett had Rosalie, Jasper had Alice, Edward had Bella, Carlisle had Esme, and Jacob had Renessmee. They all found there mates and got married. Grampa Edward told me the story of how he found Bella and I was surprised that Grammy was a human when they met. I was confused at how he could be with her and not drain her dry. But he did it. And Dad was a werewolf and Mom a vampire. They did really well in there relationship. Sure, they had bumpy roads but what relationship didn't. I am...was the only one with out there mat. Until now.

"Alright, I'll talk to her after class. Sit with her at lunch." I stated."

"Good, son. You need a girl in your life." He said proudly.

"Yeah, I know." I agreed.

It was lunch time. Finally! I was sitting at a table far away from everyone. I decided to sit with her alone because I thought it would be easier to get to know her better if we were by ourselves. I knew my family was going to be eavesdropping but that is to be expected. In a family of vampires, nothing stays secret long. Our family had no secrets.

"Jason," a voice said.

My head went up without meaning for it to. My eyes met a pair of golden pair across the room. Her pale face was absolutely beautiful. She stood next a friend she met. Miranda, a blonde haired intellegent girl with glasses on the edge of her nose. She was a kind friend. Good choice.

"Why is he sitting by himself?" She asked Lily.

"I don't know. I'm gonna go talk to him." Lily said, a hint of curiosity in her tone.

"Oh, Ok. I'll see you in gym, then." She said.

"Ok, see you." Lily said before starting towards my table.
