"Hello?" Amber greeted on the other line.

"Hey Amber ! What are you doing?" I asked with my sweetest voice as possible.

"Nothing... Why?" Amber questioned with annoyance in her voice.

"Well.. There's this party tonight--"

"NO ! I'M NOT GOING TO ANOTHER PARTY JAY!" Amber screamed at me through the phone.

I had to pull the phone away from my ears, so my ears don't begin to bleed from the loudness of Amber's voice.

I placed my phone back to my ears, "Why not?"

"It doesn't matter. I'm not going," Amber snapped. I groaned into the phone and rolled my eyes even though she couldn't see me. After that, the line went dead.

Amber was my closet friend at school, she just has her mood swings which I hate, but i love her. She could be a bitch sometimes, but she just grew up to hate the world. I've called all my girl friends to attend this party with me, but as usual they didn't want to go. You see, not many of my friends aren't a fan of partying... Especially with me. They said, that I got too.... wild. I wouldn't say I was wild, probably just high on sugar.

The first and last time I took Amber to a party was last weekend. Let's just say that Amber walked into a room where three people were having a three some and demanded me to drive her home. She said something along the lines of, 'Oh my god my virgin eyes' and 'I fucking hate you.'

Amber is one of my best friend and all, but lately we've been drifting apart. Probably because we all are growing up. Since summer came along, I haven't been in contact with any of my friends. I tried to talk to them, and ask them to hang out but they just didn't want to. The only person I've talked to over the summer was Charlie. Charlie's my best friend. She moved back in 4th grade, to a place that's an hour away. But every summer my side of the family would go vist her family. So our friendship is wrapped tight.

Besides, Charlie is the only person that I could make sexual jokes around with, and she doesn't yell at me for it.

"JAY!" Miles yelled from downstairs. I snapped out of my thought from his voice.

"WHAT?!" I screamed back at him.

"DAD'S HOME WITH PIZZA!" Miles screamed back. I didn't need to think twice about the information. Me and Miles have been living on our own, because our parents are off on business trips and we barely see them. Usually, mom would come home with him, but this time, she didn't.

I pushed the thought aside, and replaced it with the thought that mom had work to do and couldn't make it.

I pulled the blankets off of myself, and swinged my legs off from my bed. I dashed to my bedroom door, but tripped over the blankets and fell.

"Fuck," I cursed at myself. I gathered my strength together and got up to the door opening it. I skipped down the hallways and stairs, watching each and every step. At the bottom of the stairs, I smelled the fresh pizza that filled up my nose. I quickly inhaled the scent, enjoying every single moment of it. I went into the kitchen finding my dad and Miles surrounding the kitchen island. Immediately, a smile appeared on my face. The sound of my heavy breathing caught the attentioin of both my brother and dad.

"Hey Dad." I greeted him with a dashing smile. All I got was a nod. Normally, he would look at me, but he wouldn't make any eye contact. I looked over at Miles with a questioning look. Miles shrugged. I made my way around the kitchen island to sit on stool next to Miles. I observe my dad not missing any single move trying to determine what was going on with him.
