"i won't let you fall." grayson laughs at how nervous noelle is. ethan is watching them from a distance, smiling at his brother's demeanor. he misses grayson, and his heart begins to swell with love for his twin.
noelle holds onto grayson's arm for support as they near the edge of the cliff, and when she looks down, she yelps. before he knows it, he's wrapping his arms around her waist, not thinking about it that much. noelle's heart stops, and goosebumps arise on her bare skin.
"ready?" he asks the girl, and she nods, gulping. counting down, the two of them hold hands, jumping off of the cliff and into the cool, blue water with their eyes closed. noelle yells all the way down, and when she breaks the surface of the water, she holds her breath.
it takes a few moments before the two of them resurface, and when they do, grayson smiles at her while squinting his eyes from the sun. she finds herself laughing, and realizing how much adrenaline had just been rushing through her.
"today was really fun, grayson, thank you." noelle says as they're walking back to her car. once there, they stop and grayson has a towel wrapped around his waist, and she put her nike shorts back on over her bikini bottoms. the sun is beaming on her back, and the warmth calms her.
"yeah, anytime. hey, wanna exchange numbers?" he asks. ethan smiles from his place on the other side of the girl's car. he can see how happy his younger brother is, and that makes him equally as happy.
"yeah!" noelle replies, bubbly. she grabs her phone, and he gives her his phone number.
"i'll see you around, noelle." grayson says, and he presses a little kiss to her cheek before smiling a sweet smile and walking off back towards the beach full of people. noelle looks around, and when she sees ethan, her lips curl in a smile. he mirrors the expression.
"step two, get to know him."
