The Corporal And His Eyes

    Levi couldn't understand what was going on. When he was bashed into a tree by a titan, he could just barely see. He didn't like
it. When Erwin had called for people to retreat, Levi had to squint just to see what he was pressing and what he wasn't on his weapons. He didn't like that either.

Little specs of white started to be all that he could see and he didn't understand what was happening. When he got into his horse, he quickly tried to go back to the walls, saftey.

Yet then he couldn't see.

"Is that all you could remember before you started to not be able to see?" Asked Hange calmly, pencil and clipboard in one hand and a light flashing Levi's eyes in the other. They did get strangely light blue, but he didn't make a reaction when Hange did so.

"Yeah." He replied.

"Well, this could be temporary blindness." They said and wrote something down on the clipboard and put it on their desk.

"What do you mean could?" Said Levi, furrowing his brows and not making the effort to turn towards Hange's voice. They gently grabbed Levi's chin and shined the bright light into his eyes once more.

"Well, exactly what I said. It can be temporary for you to be blind or not, but we have to see. Until then I advise you to not fight the titans..." The raven had clenched his fists.

"What?!"

"You can't fight in this state, Levi! Your blind! If this is just temporary, then you'll be fine!" Said Hange. Levi stayed quiet and jerked his head out of Hange's grasp and stared at what he thinks is the floor.

If this is what Hange says, then he can continue fighting. If not, then.. Couldn't he be resigned as Captain because of this? He sighed and Hange shut off the light putting it in their pocket.

"Fine, but I can't do work until then. I'll go tell Erwin-"

"But! At least have someone with you so you know what you're doing."

"Yeah yeah, let's go."

"I can't do it! I have work and I'm recently doing research on how titans reproduce-"

"Hange."

"Leviiiiiii!"

He groaned and stood up off the chair he was on and cracked his back.

"Fine! Just hurry and get someone, I don't have all day."

"But-"

"Hange I swear to god."

"Fiiiinne!" She sighed and Levi just knew she was pouting when she walked out the door.

He sighed and carefully took step after step to Hange's door until he slipped on some papers.

"HOLY-" he began, but the ground hitting his arms and cheek interrupted him.

Two teenagers and a scientist worked their way to Hange's lab. Since they weren't far, Hange had picked them. A loud 'FUCK' startled the three and they quickly went to the door and opened it, seeing Levi getting up slowly and rubbing his cheek.

"Captain! Are you okay? Are you hurt? Do I need to give you something-"

"Mikasa! I'm fine!" he said, and pated her back. Eren just sighed and looked at Hange who smiled back at him.

Recently, Mikasa and Levi found out that they were related. Therefore, since they were the only family members they had left, the two started to hang out. Mikasa now worried for both Eren and Levi the most. Some people were surprised at how Mikasa would make Levi, out of all people do things, but found it hilarious at times.

Eren, he sometimes was a little jealous. Yeah, he didn't like Mikasa worrying about him all the time, but he enjoyed her company. Armin was also a good friend but enjoyed books a lot. He was also Jealous of Mikasa the most. How she can just hug him whenever and Levi would almost be totally okay with it, and how they whisper every now and again to each other and Levi's corner of his lip goes up ever so slightly at one of Mikasa's little comments on Erwin's eyebrows.

"What happened? I saw you and the titan and then you went here-"

"Just temporary blindness-"

"Maybe!"Hange interrupted.

Eren gasped and looked at Mikasa, who froze. Her face as well. oh. Oh no. Eren covered his ears and Hange looked at him a little puzzled, but covered their ears and Levi did as well when the ravenette started to rage.

"WHAT?! LEVI I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE WENT WITH YOU! "

"Mikasa! Geez! Please be quiet-" Eren began.

"ARE YOU SURE IT'S TEMPORARY, MISS HANGE?!" Hange nodded her head frantically and pushed a little more on her ears.

"Thank god!" Mikasa squeezed Levi and he pushed her a little to let her know it was starting to hurt.

   "So let me get this straight, unlike Jeager."

"Hey!"

"So Captain Levi is 'temporarily' blind?" Jean asked and Connie and Sasha stopped eating, their mouths full of food.

"What?" Sasha said.

"When did that happen?" Connie said, chewing.

Eren cringed.

"Eat first, guys. Mikasa said it happened when he was bashed into a tree from a titan." Kickass stared at her food and Sasha was hesitant to not trying to steal it.

"Can that even happen?" Mikasa asked Armin.

"W-well, I'm not sure... Well, maybe if a piece of the bark got into his eye? I don't know, I haven't read a book about people going blind." Mikasa sighed once more and was about to give Sasha her bread. Sasha, of course, smiled and was about to say thanks and take it until Mikasa put it into her mouth.

Eren just sighed and looked at Levi, as well as some of his friends did.

What will they do without Levi there?
