Chapter 6

Jessica's Pov

I can't believe this is happening. I wonder what happened. I hope he is ok. We finally arrived at the hospital and grayson got Mason from the back and then we rushed in and then went to the front desk. 

"hi I am Jessica Mae. I was called because my dad Greg Mae was in a car accident." "Oh yes. Here come with me." She started to walk and then she said "Oh I am sorry but only she can see him." 

I didn't want to leave grayson so I said "This is my boyfriend grayson and my son Mason." "Oh ok well please follow me." We followed her to this room and when I walked in I saw my mom and my two brothers crowded around the bed.

 "Jacob, Matthew, Mom can I see him please?" My mom looked at me frightened with tears in her eyes. "Jacob, Matthew don't let her see her father." "Mom why?" She just looked away. I tried to push past them but they wouldn't let me. 

I tried harder and finally went through. My dad was in terrible condition. He had cuts all over him and i don't even know if anything was broken. There was also a bandage around his head and he had a breathing mask on. 

My brothers started to pull me out and i was screaming. They pushed me out and closed the door. I sat down and put my legs up on the chair and i hugged them. I heard someone sit next to me and then start to rub my back.

 I looked up to see Grayson. I just gave him a hug. He hugged me back and it amazed me how he could hug me with just one arm because he was holding Mason with the other. I released from the hug and then Mason crawled over to me. I picked him up and hugged him. He fell asleep in my arms and soon after i drifted off to sleep as well.

Grayson's Pov

I was just sitting with Jessica when i noticed her and Mason were fast asleep. I smiled at them because they looked so cute. I took a quick picture and then put my phone away. A couple minutes later the door swung open and her mom and too other men came out. 

One of them looked about 23 and the other looked about 19. I stood up and walked to the mom and she said "Who are you?" "i am Grayson Dolan. Jessica was with me when she got the news and she passed out. I knew she wasn't in the best condition to drive so i drove her here."

 One of the guys came up to me and he said "What do you mean she was with you?" "She babysits my child." I looked at Mason and Jessica when i said that and then the guy said "oh ok. Well i am Jacob, Jessica's oldest brother and that is Matthew he is her older brother." 

I nodded and shook both of their hands. Matthew the younger one was tall. About 6'4 but he was slender. Jacob was a little shorter about 6'0 but he had big muscles. We talked for a bit and then the nurses came back. 

I went and sat back down. When the nurses were done talking to Jessica's family her brother Jacob came over to me and said "So our dad is in a coma right now and they said that he will be up in like 2 days so if you could take Jessica home now. She really needs her own bed to sleep in." I nodded and then woke Jessica up. We said goodbye to everyone and then went to my car.

Jessica's Pov

We were in Grayson's car heading over to my house. "Grayson, do you know what is going on with my dad?" "Yeah, so he is currently in a coma but he should be awake in about 2 days." "Good. I was worried he was never going to wake up." 

I felt a tear roll down my cheek. Grayson grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers and then said "Don't worry Jessica everything will be ok." I nodded and then just looked out the window. 

It was dark out right now because it was 9. We finally got to my house and grayson walked me to my door, I unlocked it and opened it. I turned around and he said "I don't have work tomorrow so if you want to just come over to hangout you can." 

"Thank you. I probably will because i am not going to school tomorrow." He nodded and then i said "Thank you so much for helping me today. I don't know what i would have done without you." He smiled and then said "No problem." I kissed his cheek and then said "See you tomorrow Grayson." "See you tomorrow Jessica." After that i walked into my house. 

I went to my room and then just laid down. I thought about Grayson for a bit and then slowly drifted off to sleep.
