Chapter Four: How Much Sweeter Can He Get

As we walked Cameron tried to make small talk, I guess. "Sooo. What did Lauren say..." He said dragging that last word on. Oh shit. "I.. I gotta go" I said trying to get away. She could be watching from anywhere. Cameron grabbed my arms and held me still. "Wait, why? Was it something I said?" He said concerned. "I'm not going to let you go until you tell me what's wrong." "She said that if she sees me near you or sees me talk to you, she'll, she'll beat me up." I said tearing up. If you couldn't tell already I'm very emotional. "WHAT! She is insane. Listen, she's my ex. I broke up with her because she was cheating on me with two other guys. And she kinda, did the "dirty" with the other two. Don't worry about her, if she bothers you again, she'll hear it from me." "Oh, ok. You sure. What if she's watching us?" "Well let's see" Cameron said making this face ➡️ he pulled out his phone and dialed a number. I didn't know what he was doing, more so, who he was calling. We were stopped in our tracks. "Shh" he told me. We waited and we heard a ringtone from the bushes behind us. "LAUREN! LEAVE US ALONE!" Cameron screamed. Lauren popped out of the bushes with the other two girls. I stepped back and I could feel the tears forming. These girls terrified me.

"What's wrong Cammy?" she said with puppy dog eyes while rubbing his chest. "Get your hands off of me! Don't call me Cammy," he was in flames, "leave us alone, especially Natalie. She did nothing to you it's her second day, what could she have possibly done?" He was furious. "She is hanging out with my boyfriend, that's what." Lauren stated back, giving me a death stare. "HOW MANY TIMES DO I FUCKING HAVE TO TELL YOU?! WE. ARE. NOT. DATING. AND WE NEVER WILL EVER AGAIN! IF YOU DONT GET YOUR FUCKING ASS AWAY FROM US I'LL SMACK A BITCH. NOW LEAVE." Holy shit. Cameron just cursed her out. "Let's go Nat." He said turning around and grabbing my hand. Sparks shot up my arm when he held my hand. They are so big and warm and so comforting.

We walked home without saying a word. He walked me to my house and asked, "want me to bring these in for you?" Motioning to the books in his hand. "Sure, thanks." I said as we walked in my house. We walked upstairs to my room and he put my books on my desk then plopped onto my bed. "Thank you again. And are you sure she won't bother us." I said as I plopped down next to him. "I'm sure, I think I scared her so bad she shit her pants." We started cracking up. Once we were fin shined laughing I asked "wanna watch a movie?" "Sure, watcha wanna watch?" "I don't care," I pulled out a box from under my bed, "pick something" I told him. The box was filled with movies. We flipped through the movies until Cameron found the one he wanted to watch. "Cheaper by the dozen?" One of my favorite movies. "Ok, it's one of my favorites, so yay!" I put in the movie and we laid in my bed watching the movie. Cameron yawned and stretched out his arms and his left arm reached around my shoulders. He looked down at me and smirked. I smiled and snuggled closer to him. He was so warm and comforting it almost put me to sleep.

Cameron's POV

We started watching a movie and I did the ole yawning and stretching trick. My arm was around Natalie's shoulder when I felt her snuggle close to me. Her perfect little body fit perfectly with mine. I looked down at her again and she was asleep. She looked so peaceful when she slept. She was so cute. Her phone was sitting on her lap so I reached over and grabbed it. I took a few pics of her and then some selfies. I went and changed my name in her phone to Cam She got a message and it was from some kid named Ryan. "Hey babe. I'm visiting Cali next week. See ya soon. " She has a boyfriend?! I should have known someone as pretty as her would have had a boyfriend. Damn it! I was falling hard for her too. I suddenly felt her move and she started rubbing her eyes. I threw her phone back on the bed and shut my eyes acting like I was asleep.

Natalie's POV

I started waking up because I thought I felt Cameron moving. I woke up and saw Cameron asleep. Aww, he's so cute when he sleeps, and sexy. I saw that my phone had lit up. A text from the one person who I had hoped would forger about me. Ryan. The text read, "Hey babe. I'm visiting Cali next week. See ya soon " No! I can't see the asshole's face again! Ryan is my ex boyfriend and we broke up because he was always trying to get in my pants or something. He just always crossed the line. When I told him the simple two letter word, no.... he smacked or punched me leaving me with bruises and tears streaming down my face. If he didn't get what he wanted, he took everything out on me. I felt the tears forming in my eyes just remembering all of these terrible memories. Fuck. How am I going to hide from Ryan the whole time he's in town?! He's going to find me eventually and its not going to be good. I looked up and Cameron's eyes fluttered open. "How was your sleep, Sleeping Beauty" I asked him giving him a smirk. "Me Sleeping Beauty?! Haha. Ya okay. That's defiantly you!" We both started cracking up. After a while we just stared into each others eyes. "Have I ever told you that you are the most beautiful person I've ever laid my eyes on?" he said in almost a whisper. I started to blush so I looked down at my lap with a smile ear to ear spread across my face. He was the sweetest guy known to man. I looked up at him and asked, "Have I ever told you that you are the cutest, sweetest, and hottest guy I've ever met?" He was now blushing and before I knew it his lips collided into mine.

****AUTHORS NOTE**** I know I know..... YOU NEVER UPDATE ANYMORE! I'm sorry about that. I got a summer job that goes from 8:30 to 4 everyday and by the time I get home I'm usually passed out. I'll update any chance I get I promise. I work at a camp with no WiFi, shocker. There's only WiFi when I have bathroom duty so I'll try to do it then. By the way...
