After a while Batty returned to the place where the stranger was left. He just sat there staring at her. Batty had to agree he was kind of attractive, but shook her head. She couldn't think of that right now.
Afton clearly said only those she knew, like Kat or Blue. Batty st down and yanked her knife out of his arm. The strange being screamed in agony. "Is this how you treat new people!?" he yelled.
"No," Batty replied, "We usually stuff them in a suit and gouge out the eyes and teeth. You got special treatment. Now tell me your name and what you are doing here, Romeo."
"One-eye, and I lived at a place called Circus Baby's Pizza world." he said. Batty looked puzzled, but shrugged.
"OK One-eye," Batty spat, "Why did you stop here?"
"It was dark and I like it."
"Same."
They sat in silence for a while. Batty turned and left One-eye there alone and free to leave. It was strange to see someone who isn't afraid of her.
Batty went to her room and slept.
