*Two weeks later*
"No, Thor! You may not use my belt! That is classic cattle leather and it's expensive! Please, use one of Tony's, or even Steve's, but never mine," I growled.
"Why mine? Everyone always wants to use my stuff!" Tony whined.
"If Thor can't use a belt, his jeans will fall down. I'll let him use one of mine." Steve handed Thor a brown belt. I rolled at my eyes. Men could be so overprotective of stuff. I would have let Thor have a belt, but I am so tiny and my waist doesn't even fit anything above a medium. I would say Thor and Steve were both either a large or an extra-large. In the past two weeks, Loki has barely said a word to me, while Steve has been very generous man. We've been on at least five runs and I still haven't beaten him. It's a little annoying, but I'm starting to get faster, I'll eventually beat him... maybe.
"Hey, Jul, want to go racing with me and Sam?" Steve offered.
"Again? Don't you ever get tired?" I complained.
"No, not really. Once the professor injected the serum, I gained a higher metabolism, four times that of a normal human," Cap chuckled.
"Ugh, fine, Cap. If I win, you will give me a foot massage. If Sam wins, I'll fix the Falcon suit. If you win... I don't really know."
"If I win, you will call me Steve and you will go out to a dance with me." I narrowed my eyes and thought about this offer. It wouldn't kill me if he won, but, I don't dance.
"Fine, challenge accepted, America. I like this bet better than the last one. I can't believe you made me do your laundry for a week!" I whined, winking at Sam, who was leaning in the living room door.
"I'll go by it. I've been shipping you two since we found her." Sam laughed.
"Okay, are we a fangirl? Cause only fangirls ship, Bird head," Tony joked, coming into the room. We all shared a few laughs before I finally went to my room, put on shorts, a tank and tennis shoes. Frost quickly flashed across my arms and then disappeared. My powers were getting stronger and I was learning to control it, but, it was getting harder. No time that for now; I have got to win a bet!
"Jul! We're leaving in 5 minutes. Hurry it up!" Sam called
"Are you just anxious to get your tail feathers beaten?"
"No! Just get down here." I rolled my eyes. Sam was annoying at times. After I successfully rode down the banister, Sam, Cap and I went outside and began to slowly jog.
We normally went around the Big Apple, but, if we ever went racing, we decided that it would be best to use the sidewalk around Central Park. I know all the back ways and everything, so there is only a small chance that I will actually lose.
The big oak tree that Sam sat down under when Cap first really met him was our starting line and all heck broke out once we passed it. Today was no different. I could see Cap's muscles tense and Sam's face get stern as we neared the tree. I smiled.
"Later losers!" I exclaimed right as I went underneath the tree. I let the adrenaline take over and faster than I ever thought I could go. Steve wasn't that far behind and was gaining pretty fast. "Come on! Come on!" I was pushing myself way beyond my limits, trying desperately to defeat the undefeatable Captain America.
"On your right!" A blur of a man went right past my vision.
"No! No way!" I exclaimed, out of breath. I was beaten and there was no way out of that dance now. Ugh. Stupid super hero serum.
"And, Madame, that is how you win a race." Steve did a little short bow when Sam and I caught up to him. I growled. Yay! I had to go out on a dance.
Out of nowhere we heard a couple of "My ship has sailed!" from a nearby tree. No one knew who said that but we had a few ideas. Most of which having to do with Tony and Delilah. (Actually, it was both Stan Lee and Hawkeye hiding out.)
