~Jane's POV~

When a new family had moved across the way from I wasn't that surprised.  It was a nice neighborhood and the house was relatively cheap considering where it was. I guess I was about 13... or 14 when everything went to hell. I never really talked to Jeff when he first moved in. To be franked I never really talked to him until that night.

My first impression of Jeff was that he was a good kid, probably got good grades, rarely got into fights, and maybe even a good guy if he opened up to someone. His brother Lou seems like he puts his family first the way he sat with his brother on the sidewalk.

Of course I was just guessing at the time and I really didn't put much thought into it because I was getting ready for school and when I look out the window. I was running late, which was unusual for me at the time in my life because rarely late for anything ever late for anything, exceptionally school.

I wasn't surprised that Randy and his gang walked up to the new kids, which was Jeff and Lou, on that stupid skateboard of his. Randy was nothing but a bully, he was always picking on anyone who was smaller than him. He was even the reason why my parents drove me to school instead of taking the bus like everybody else. Everyone always had lunch money or some kind of cash to give to Randy because of some "toll" he want from all of the kids. Everyone one knew that Randy and his gang had knives and threatened to use them on anyone who told about the money they sole.

Everyone except the new kids they are trying to intimidate like the rest of the kids on the block. When I saw Randy talking to them through the window I just looked away, it was a weak move but I had better things to do than watch.

Another kid handed Randy their money. Curiosity got the better of me and I looked up a few seconds later, what I saw left me speechless.  Jeff was standing now and looked like Randy already had what he wanted. 'just sit down' I thought 'don't be stupid'. Then I saw Jeff punch Randy in the face and brake his wrist "oh my god" I whispered then I yelled "YOU IDIOT!"

My parents ran down the stairs and asked what happened then they looked outside and saw what was going on. Jeff had already cut the skinny guy I think he's name was Keith and he went down screaming. Travis only went down with a single punch.

My house was across the street from where Jeff and his brother were sitting the, house in front, having big windows we saw the whole thing. Or at least I did. My parents came in after Randy stole their money so they did see the whole thing. It was disturbing watching Jeff fight. He was really enjoying himself to much. I felt a knot in my stomach like something was happening that shouldn't, and the look on Lou's face, Jeff didn't do this kind of thing offend.

The next thing I hear were sirens and the new kids bolted out of there. The cops came around with the bus drive to check on the "victims"  it seemed like the were going to be alright. My parents policy was no cops because dad got framed by a cop that to draw off attention from themselves when the police were investigating the case of the missing cope it ended up with my dad quitting the force. So when we heard sirens we went to the back yard, got in the car, and left.

When my parents drove me to school they made it very clear they did want me talking to Jeff. EVER. I did agree to disagree with them.
