chapter 5

katy's point of view:

I know Cara could tell that i was really hurt about what happened with Matt. She knows me way more than anyone else does; and come on, i made it very obvious!

I wasn't in the mood for anything, but i decided to try and just forget about it. We kept swimming and after a while all of Matt's viner friends showed up!

A guy with a soft Canadian accent, and very tall came up to me and introduced himself as Shawn.

   "Hey, I'm Shawn"

   "Hi, I'm Katy...are you one of Matt's friends?"

  "Yes," he said... "We met not to long ago! Do you come here often?"

  "Yeah, as a matter of fact Cara is like my sister...she's always there for me and i love that girl to death!"

   "Aww that's super sweet, you seem like a cool girl, would you want to hang out some time?" Shawn said nervously and smiling.

  

   "Yes, I'd love to!" I smiled back and blushed

   "SHAWN, COME HERE!!!" Another tall guy, really skinny and holding a guitar screamed from the other side of the yard.

   "Well i have to go, but I'll talk to you later...oh yeah, i almost forgot, can i have your number?"

   "Yes of course!" I gave him my number and he walked away putting his phone back in his pocket. He smiled and said, "I'll see you later"

Cara's point of view:

   I saw Katy talking to Shawn, i don't know what they were saying but i noticed that Matt was making faces and clenching his fist on the other side of the pool.

He still had 'Caroline' by his side, so it was his own fault!

   "Hey Katy, what's up with you and Shawn?" I asked as i walked up to her

  "Oh he just introduced himself and asked for my number"

I could tell she was fake smiling, i know she wasn't over what Matt did.

   "That's so sweet of him, i think he likes you! He's a very shy guy, but he's very sweet, maybe you could give him a chance!?"

   "Idk, this time lets not accelerate things, i wouldn't want to get my hopes up to high"

   "Ok, i get you, come on...let's go inside and watch a movie!"

We walked past Matt and Caroline... Matt still clenching his jaw and looking straight at Shawn and then back to Katy.

Shawn smiled at Katy and she smiled back, making Matt break hands with Caroline and walking up to Shawn.

The last thing we heard was Matt screaming Shawn's name.

Me and Katy kept walking inside, we headed upstairs and changed into shorts and a tanktop. Katy was spending the night here today!

I told Katy to pick the movie and of course she chose Pirates of the Caribbean...she loves those movies!

We layed down and slowly fell asleep.

Matt's point of view:

I was mad. I know everyone could tell, but i really didn't care...i hated the way Shawn looked at Katy and i hated the way she smiled back!

When Katy and Cara were walking inside i saw them smile at each other... by then i had had enough. I broke hands with Caroline and went up to talk to Shawn...

  "Hey Shawn can i talk to you?"

  "Yeah sure man! What's up?"

   "I saw the way you were looking at Katy and i just wanted to say that she just broke up with her boyfriend not to long ago and she really isn't looking for a relationship right now!"

   "Oh, it's ok...i just want to be friends with her, she seems like an amazing girl!"

  "Oh believe me she is, but just please give her space!"

  "Ok, i will!"

I then walked away, Caroline left while i was talking to Shawn and i wasn't in the mood to be around the guys right now so i decided to just go watch some tv.
