Hi, this is my first book... Ever! I hope you like it!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

I lied, again, today. It isn't an unusual thing for me, it comes naturally, like a gift. It isn't the first time that I had to be sent up to the principals office either.

So, you want to know what I lied about... I said that I didn't start the food fight in the cafeteria.

After that, I got picked up from school, with a suspension. Now don't think that I'm the mean cool girl at school, I'm actually really good at school, I do my homework, I don't talk in class (much!), and I get good grades, but the only thing, is that I lie, and that is what gets me in HEAPS of trouble.

After I got picked up, my mum gave me the silent treatment in the car, and that is when I knew she had had it. As we got home, World War III started.

"How Alice, how many times do you have to get in trouble to realise that all this is ruining your future, you career, and if you keep this silly behaviour up, you won't be the doctor of the century!" Said mum, finally speaking to me. It is funny how she only seems to speak to me when I'm in trouble.

If you haven't realised, my mum expects a lot from me, high grades, to get a top job, to be the best. But that is not what I want to do, what I really want to be is a fashion designer, but that is practically impossible as my mum is a nurse and my dad is a lawyer.

"I didn't mean it, I was being provoked, you know, like last time, Charlotte, the meanest girl in year 8, she told me that my hair was like a birds nest, and that I needed to go to the hair salon, but I probably didn't have enough money because I'm poor and I... I... I... (Sigh) I got a little bit mad, and I made her hair look like a birds nest, with the spagett-"

"That, young lady, is another lie. Lie lie lie, that is all you do"

Ok, maybe it was a lie, but it all comes naturally, like I said. I can't help it, and the Charlotte girl, I just made her up so I could get away with more things.

"No, it's not." I reply, as calmly as I can.

"So, the principal, who was there and saw you do it all, is lying?"

"Yes, well no, but from that angle, he must have seen it all wrong."

"Stop your silly nonsense, just go to your room... NOW!!!" Yelled mum

Well, you don't say no or keep arguing when mum is like that, so I sulk as I walk to my room, and I cry.
